ICED TEA - I really like Iced Tea or Iced Milk Tea - when they're done right ! Unfortunately most Cha Chaan Tengs or Taiwanese Bubble Tea shops just have a strong milkiness or creaminess, they only make me react in a negative way and want to throw up (反胃) afterwards. So how was the pre-refrigerated version here? It was actually ok. The milkiness wasn't overpowering at all, the tea flavour was mediocre but at least present somehow. Its very filling and needs more tea flavour.
CHICKEN PIE -
By the time I got here, and they close at 7pm, there were no more egg-tarts. So I only got to order half of what I wanted. The Chicken pie was just a normal shortcrust-pastry with a slight buttery flavour - the ingredients were a mess of flour based thick cream with minimal chicken and ham. You could find a better version anywhere in any restaurant.
*******
The service was really great bar 1 guy who was stone-faced, the price was affordable. I will 1 day return to try the Egg-Tarts. Not sure about the rest still!....
