以前經過以為只係飲茶嘅地方,看門面見內部簡潔, 門口只放咗一個餐牌, 打開睇完通常會轉身走人, 但後來聽罷電台節目”飲食得喜”主持人的介紹才得知這裡係可以開飯嘅, 重話煮得幾出色添, 菜式係傳統廣東菜, 唔係酒家菜式反而係小家碧玉型, 港式阿媽煮飯那種鯪魚肉餅呀,蒸肉餅之類, 所以之前經過揭完餐牌走人, 心諗菜式好普通啫, 但收得貴都係有d道理嘅! 唔係話佢用的鯪魚肉特別靚特別貴, 而係會食得出做的人那份手藝/心機, 並非用咗什麼特別品牌的回黑豬的什麼矝貴部位的豬肉做的肉餅, 做出來的質感係令你都會想講”豬肉餅咪係咁嘅囉!”平平無奇嘅樣子喎, 無錯, 的確好平凡但食落去就知道佢不平凡的口感同味道, 鯪魚肉餅就只是一般厚薄的幾件, 一咬下就知道主持人讚好的是那薄薄煎成薄片的脆衣, 魚肉只是緊緊熟咗鎖住魚肉的汁, 調味料應該只是最簡單的鹽/糖, 就是這種不加裝飾只等食物本身自我演繹, 這種任由食材自由發揮的精神,任由外觀的不完美及無俢飾主義又來得有點禪味, 而接受世間無常就更加是無意之中入了禪, 聽店主講因為請唔到幫手(跑樓面) 自己又做咗十幾年, 接受現實退下來休息, 租約至九月, 又一間有心但無力的食肆即將消失, 說起來有點憂鬱但又帶點浪漫的漸進式消退, 沒什麼是長久,沒什麼是完美,留下未完成的完美,才是現代對美的觸覺, 比起那些做了半個世紀留給後人又爭產收場的俗不可耐的場面這樣才算瀟灑走一回, 只存在於某個特定的時空, 在那特定的時空我們遇上了但轉迅之間又再分道揚鑣,  continue reading

在這裡可以遠離中環的塵囂,靜靜地和知己聊天,慢慢品嚐用心烹調的家常小菜,是間令人感動的隱世小店。我和朋友點了兩個set lunch,煎魚餅香口而毫不油膩,滾魚湯鮮甜且火候恰到好處,芝麻糕做法亦相當清新,茶香而不濃,仲有碟健康小菜。整體而言,小菜少油健康清淡,環境清幽,是中環的難得的慢生活。(This picture speaks a thousand words),有幾何會食得咁乾淨?) continue reading

記憶中,「緻好」己屹立在這小小的斜路好幾年了。以往經過,我總對他的招牌凝望,隨著那個「茶」字再往下看,只見他空虛的檯子,彷彿帶著難以形容的唏噓!或許我對茶比酒還要孤陋寡聞,香港這個現實到不行的地方,除非是家財千萬的富貴退休人士,否則那來欣賞茶道的雅興,倒不如花點時間炒樓、炒股票吧!這晚步進這茶室,希望認識不再唏噓的「緻好」。「緻好」的裝潢沒有變化,依舊是一間充滿雅致的茶室,我們被安排坐到這靠近門口的角落。老闆愛茶之情洋溢在字畫裡。餐牌內保留了十多二十款的茶,對我而言,全是陌生的,如安溪粒粒香鐵觀音、鳯凰大烏葉單樅、杭州獅峰龍井和滿天仙桃等,名字十分漂亮!我們沒有特別點來美茶,還是享用著供食客們品嚐的茶葉茶。對二人晚餐的菜色也相當合意,於是我們就順意的點了!白鰂魚湯是非常廣東的家常湯。每次「緻好」也選購十斤白鰂魚來熬製,色澤深濃帶灰,入口鮮甜不腥,加上菠菜,引出純美的香氣來!在鰂魚湯的中央放有略帶粉紅的肉塊,質感非常軟腍,完全不像是魚肉。肉塊在咀嚼中又帶點爽勁,仿似是豬扒似的,細問後才得知要柳梅肉,原來廚師特意用來增加魚湯的甜韻!來點川味兒的紅油炒手。餛飩包得扎實,部份已被醋紅的色澤沾上。餛飩皮層恰如北方餃子的厚重,質感帶點韌性,不過卻少了一份麵香。餡料中肉的比重較多,我喜歡的菜只是輕輕帶過,不過味道卻很自然。誠言餛飩並不是紅油抄手的焦點,焦點反而落在醬汁之中。醬汁的辣度不強,可是醋汁香醇味美,甜中滲著輕酸。最後,老公還把醋汁拌米飯來吃!外層煎得金黃酥香,內層則展現出手打魚膠的鬆彈與緊緻,再襯托著溫和的調味,家鄉煎魚餅就是簡簡單單的美。論簡單,家鄉煎魚餅的簡單卻比不上這道油菜。當晚選用了椰菜,在沒有蠔油、醬汁的陪襯下,椰菜的爽甜變得更加清雅脫俗,相信在選材和灼菜上,也有著一定的技巧,方能突出椰菜的樸實氣質,我是百分百喜歡這道油菜!蝦粉絲香氣誘人,粉絲上擺放了油潤嫩紅的蝦隻,吸引力真不少!蝦隻非常爽彈,獨突的香氣份外討好。一試粉絲,更感嘩然!粉絲質感不算太爽,但在吸收醬汁後,能維持這般彈牙的口感,已是相當不俗。而每一條粉絲也滲出香甜濃郁的鮮蝦香氣,味道令人讚嘆!原來廚師用大量鮮蝦精心熬製蝦汁,然後再混和粉絲,因此在每條粉絲上全是精華所在,美味得不能罷休!二人晚餐還包含桂花榚作甜品。桂花味道清幽,帶著輕甜,質感自然,還算不錯!當晚在「緻好」的客人多是用餐,沒有看到品茶的客人,但氣氛卻寧靜舒適,就連唯一的女侍應,談話也是如詩般溫婉。至於食物,「緻好」有著家裡純和的味道,但水準與技巧卻要比一般家庭高及精細,這種美味很不商業,但偏偏在一個極之商業化的社會裡出現,可說是奇蹟!最後文質彬彬的老闆出現,跟我們細談了「緻好」由茶室發展至現在主力於小菜的過程,我不禁一問為何在瞬間能找到手藝如斯出眾的廚師,他的答案令我為之側目,原來廚師就是眼前的他,還有他並未露面的太太。怪不得出菜的速度異常的慢,但我一點也絕不介意,「緻好」的菜是慢得有道理!受爸爸的感染,從小也懂得品嚐美味,更得到父親的珍傳,加上自學,這雙文質彬彬的巧手給我們弄來溫文儒雅的菜色! continue reading

Went to Vbest with 10 other people...best way to eat Chinese food....Hard to imagine a really good, not touristy, honest Mom and Pop Chinese restaurant in SOHO???...This is one!! To start...we ordered fish dim sum and pork dim sum...the fish dim sum arrived on a lovely bed of braised lettuce with a light broth. The wrapping was light and the fish and spring onion tasted delicate. The pork was in a slightly spicy soy sauce and also very tasty.We then had tofu with garlic, steamed choi sum, ground pork and noodles in broth....The tofu was fresh and delicately flavored with garlic, the steamed choi sum was cooked just to perfection, not too crunchy, not at all soggy and the ground pork was filling and rich tasting. I thought the noodles were a little bland and boring which was the only criticism of the whole meal!NO MSG! NO drowning with soy sauce or grease or oil! Just real, delicate cooking with fresh ingredients.....Beer and tea completed a very nice meal for the amazing price of $1400 for 11 people!Not fancy, not elegant but clean, lovely service, and they speak English to boot.... continue reading

大概2pm黎到 呢度話佢地段旺又唔係 唔旺又唔係 不過隔離士丹頓街就真係旺到要行出馬路呢度呢 反而多左份寧靜 就咁睇門面 我自己都心諗 下中環會有咁既 '茶居' 既? 但係openrice comments不錯喎 就試下啦!d檯凳唔多 而且客都唔多 靜靜地嘆個lunch真不錯~ 我地揀左張係中式既 矮矮地幾過癮!基本有兩杯茶 可以睇menu再加錢試其他茶 今日趕時間 下次會叫返壺普利慢慢嘆~ set lunch $69 有個小菜+飯/粉/菜+甜品豬頸肉 - 煎得金黃色 好多舊好香口好脆 唔算好油 有少少 '火農' 再點埋個甜甜酸酸既汁 正! 忍唔住撈飯食!椰菜 - 白灼 一滴油一點調味都無 我最愛! 咁樣反而食倒菜既鮮味 evil再度淡淡然話 都係炒好味d... 唔理~ 我成碟食晒 好味好鮮甜!!!牛腩 - 完全唔un 好有牛味 個清湯油都唔多滴非常清甜好有牛腩香味 就算飲左都唔會口乾 牛腩下又有椰菜 好野椰菜食過不停 浸完牛腩湯更香甜 菠菜魚柳雲吞 - 超水準之作! 一擺上檯已經呆左 感大碗既?! 包得咁得意既?! 成朵花咁! 個餡好大舊 咬落去熱辣辣 好有菠菜味既菠菜蓉加上軟綿綿白色既魚柳 食唔出有味精 鹹都唔鹹既雲吞好耐無食過! 湯底飲唔出係乜 但係照舊 唔鹹! 好有衝動想成碗飲晒!! 下面又係椰菜 好開心 成檯都係椰菜食到唔停 桂花糕 - 可能期望太高 有dd失望了 好凍凍到牙都痺左 賣相ok啦 好多桂花不過味唔重 加左雪耳 好特別 咬既時候唔覺得甜 無乜味 但係吞左之後一陣就發覺有d甜味在口中瑯瑯下喎! 好淡既桂花味好似係吞左先出喎! 咁神奇??? 不過個味始終唔夠搶...唔知佢有無落味精 不過食唔出 就算有都應該好少! 味道清淡油都睇唔倒有滴 好有住家feel!!! 而且唔覺佢係馬虎求其煮碟野出黎 最鍾意就係試呢d小小舖頭 就係鍾意食佢地煮野既熱誠 料靚味道正 環境乾淨 真心希望佢做得住 絕對會返黎試dinner!!!一致贊成碟碟都好食 米豬蓮8星受之無愧!唯一可惜就係我地個位冷氣唔多夠... continue reading
