Dined here with 3 friends on a Saturday night. The place is a bit packed yet not noisy, so it's pretty good for small groups' conversation and candlelight meals.There were 4 types of oysters to choose from for the night. We picked 2pcs from Scotland and 4pcs from France. They were in medium size, tasted very fresh and you probably don't need any cocktail sauce. The French one tasted exceptionally sweet and so we ordered another 6pcs.The flesh was cooked just right, quite soft and tasted fresh. Olive oil and basil had been used as seasoning instead of butter, which impressed me because I am a fan of pesto. Proper utensils as for fine dining were provided to enjoy the dish.It was good enough for us 4 to share 250g of mussels. A smaller portion is 125g. The blue mussels tasted fresh but were rather small in size. The highlight of the dish was the garlicky aroma and well balanced taste created by the chef using different kinds of herbs. The soup was also very tasty, could be simply fish broth and white wine. Recommend.I didn't try the foie gras. Comments from friends were positive. It was of a good quality and nicely done to deliver the original aroma and flavor.The sauce was too think and not smooth. Pasta was cooked to el dente.The long dinner was chilling, we arrived at 7pm and left at 11 after finishing 2 bottles of wine and some beers. continue reading

講真現今香港不止地貴,其實食價物價亦提高不少,要找尋好食加平簡直難上加難。由其是我這種外國華僑。不過我每次回歸香港總會留翻一頭半個月,每次都會約中學年代好友去食飯。以往還算年青時代已經好喜歡去搜尋不同地方的特色小吃。如今亦一樣,只不過變成先上網,再親身體驗。今次經朋友兒子介紹,前往大坑一間叫做blue lemon的餐廳食晚飯。首先大家見到小弟的名就應該清楚知道我熱愛生蠔(同周柏蠔haha),所以第一樣一坐低就立刻問有邊幾種生蠔。Blue Lemon共有美國,法國與澳洲三種生蠔。我order左無樣一件,先試試水溫。先講美國生蠔:最淡生蠔味,海水味幾乎零。肉質最肥美,應該最配一般人口味。法國生蠔:肉較少,海水味比美國多,有點腥,只能配大量辣醬進食。最後澳洲生蠔:肉比美國稍弱,但蠔味夠重,個人十分喜歡,再加少許檸檬進食,味道一流。之後我再encore六件澳洲生蠔,朋友則order三件美國生蠔,都幾滿足。主菜則要香煎極黑豬扒拌法式芥茉汁。豬扒肉質不錯,可惜毫無特別之處,另人失望。朋友則點了墨汁麵,味道還算可以,絕對比我的豬扒好食,但稍為淡。結論:生蠔蠻不錯,新鮮夠肥美,值得一試!主菜就一般般。價錢其實算中價,呢種價格有呢種質素其實算難得,所以整體評分我比7.5/10 continue reading

一個不用上班,獨自到灣仔、銅鑼灣、大坑一帶流浪攝的日子,午餐就在這間位於街中三角位上,一色藍調為主,甚為吸引的 Blue Lemon Cafe & Wine Bar中享用。這天不是假日,許是還未到下午一點鐘午飯時間吧,餐廳內客人不多,在裡面吃飯的看來都是不用上班的有閒階級,給人一派寧靜悠閒的感覺 ,正配合大坑這小社區的氣氛。在餐廳是日供應的五款午餐中,揀選了較為特別的「菠菜蟹肉青衣柳」做主菜。主菜未到,餐湯先來,是「西蘭花蜆肉忌廉湯」。這以白色小杯子盛載,口感濃稠的忌廉湯色帶青褐,賣相不太吸引,幸好味道不差,湯中的蜆肉也不太少,都算是及格的一道餐湯 。但這裡的餐湯竟是沒有餐包奉送的,則令自己有點意外和覺得奇怪 。主菜「菠菜蟹肉青衣柳」比餐湯好,青衣柳十分嫩滑,魚肉上的菠菜蟹肉經芝士焗過後,鹹香可口,加上炸得都算香脆的薯條,整道菜式自己甚為滿意 。餐飲叫來「凍檸茶」,以造型別致,呈扭曲狀的玻璃杯子盛載的「凍檸茶」,茶味尚可,不會像某些西餐廳般淡而無味,都算為這頓寧靜悠閒的午餐帶來一個愉快的結束 。吃過這「藍檸檬」午餐,也是時候回家了。  continue reading

一班舊同學,定期便會聚一聚。約時間是最大的難題,落實日子後,便要決定用廳地點。突然想發掘一下大坑區,在 Whatsapp 上問大家有沒有建議,結果得到 R 同學和應:「藍檸檬!」例牌有人因為工作太忙,無法出席。最後赴會的,是四名相識十八來的兄弟。大家今次難得準時,六點半已經齊人。餐廳外圍打造成玻璃屋,感覺開揚舒適,與店內酒吧的幽暗情調,對比強烈。  打開餐牌,琳瑯滿目的歐陸菜色呈現眼前,選擇相當豐富。問了問 R 同學有沒有推薦菜色,我們才發現原來他也是第一次光顧。一輪商議後,因為覺得套餐內容不算吸引,決定單點。  白酒煮藍青口。藍青口比較細隻,口感一般。不過每一隻都洗得好乾淨,完全無砂石,抵讚。以白酒煮成的汁底,酒味不濃郁,尚算鮮味。整體而言,雖然沒有驚喜,但都算好食。  大家居然很想食薯條,所以就叫了焗芝士肉醬薯條。芝士肉醬的份量很豐富,亦頗惹味,欣賞它咸味得宜不會過重。至於薯條,質感偏軟,屬普通貨色。  作為主菜的意大利飯及長通粉,甫上桌,大夥兒的感覺就是「十分袖珍」。但要評論值不值,就要試過食物的質素後,才能下判斷。首先試試焗生蠔墨汁意大利飯--煮熟的生蠔,口感軟嫩,依然水份豐盈,甚為美味。不過意大利飯的水準,只是中規中矩。湯汁過稀,不夠 Creamy,大大削弱了飯粒的味道和口感,須要改善。  然後,雞扒長通粉予人四平八穩的感覺。每樣都做得還可以,但沒有半絲驚喜。如果我是在普通餐廳或茶記食到,我或會感到滿足。但在這個環境、份量、價格下,我覺得應該得到更高的回報。分分鐘高級茶餐廳做得比它更好食。  兩個主食,四個大男人每一剛好分到一小碟去試。吃罷,各人只吃到五至七成飽左右,要慮是否再 Order 多點食物。不過,中上檔次的價格,只換到普通質素的食物,個人覺得不太值得。幸好大家都沒想繼續吃的衝動。坐了一會,聊聊天,我們決定轉換場地,再食過!埋單找數,位位 $160 ... 性價比太低了。同一收費水平,在銅鑼灣區附近,不難找到更出色的選擇。 continue reading

自從街坊食神後,一直想到大坑走走食食,網上search 一番後,決定了兩間,最後亦選了Blue Lemon! 因天雨關係,沒有太多人,所以可以即入! Order 了兩個set dinner, 黑毛豬和海膽帶子Risotto! 首先來個starter, 冷盤牛肉沙律,本身牛肉做starter 似乎會過於膩,而且sauce 是 jelly 狀,彷似未解凍的sauce, 見到已有點卻步,但原來精髓就在於個 jelly sauce 加青蘋果絲,入口清新不覺膩,吃後胃已開! 之後再來個湯,暖暖胃!先來的是黑毛豬,surprise 的是黑毛豬柳入口外脆內軟,以為外皮炸脆了,看清楚是煎脆了,surprise, 第一次試到豬柳做到這脆脆又軟軟的!由於黑毛豬柳確是出色,再來海膽帶子Risotto已變成普通貨色了,只是半熟帶子的做法,比全熟的來得鮮甜富口感!這餐後,這間餐廳將來掉入我的encore list 內! continue reading
