開飯介紹
Rughetta Ristorante是家設在地庫的意大利餐廳,店內沒有窗戶,四周環境以石磚牆作布置,簡單的裝潢有別於本地其他意大利餐廳。蜆肉意粉配白酒汁及本店招牌菜,配老闆介紹的紅白餐酒再加飯後甜品最令人滿足不過!當然本店的其他食物也有很高的水準啊!

Had lunch today with my mum. We did make a reservation around noon. But when we arrived, I think there is possibly no need to book in advance. Maybe partly because this place is really hard to find.Anyway. There is set lunch for $110 per person. Appetizer, Main, Dessert and coffe/tea. Great value, compared to the a la carte. The point is food served for set lunch is not bad at all. Bread was fine, not too good. But served warm.I chose Ceasar Salad & Spaghetti Bolognese.Salad was crispy and cheesy, nice. Pasta is al dente, not too greasy, well flavoured. Absolutely love it!My mother ordered a crab pasta, with pesto sauce. There was also a skewer of scallops which were of very high quality. Of course her dish was more expensive. A la carte, $175 I think. Today's dessert is apple tart, a small slice. Also yummy!Coffe is served with hot mik and brown sugar. Great!Pizza is also a choice in the lunch set. Maybe I shall try that next time.

I've been to Rughetta Ristorante for a few times before. It's in the basment, small but cozy. Everytime I have a great experience but this time.The food was lovely as usual and the service was good. Just this time they arranged a table whiere a dripping air-con next to us. The chinese manager explained and apologized to us politely and we think that's okay.Don't miss out Rughetta's wines and desserts. They are marvelous!

星期六晚即興約了友人食飯, 由於友人想去食意大利菜,我地又唔知邊間比較好一點, 於是上Openrice search, 見到Rughetta Ristorante的評價都算幾好於是來了試!可能位於地牢環境比較寧靜, 感覺好舒適!相比起旁邊的酒吧, 實在有很大的分別~食意大利菜又點可以無wine呢! 先order杯house white, 之後再order左枝Red wine! House white果味比較重, 好清新, 好啱女士飲枝Red white比較dry, 不過都算比較容易入口我地order左2個Appetizer:Involtini - parma ham/ mozzarella cheese / mushroom rollMozzarella cheese好香 Mushroom好juicy反而覺得 Parma Ham有點失色Foie Gras味道ok, 總算香口選了3 個Main Courses:Linguine Vongola in white wine sauceClams很新鮮, 本身自己對Linguine唔算十分喜愛, 但這裡的Linguine都算是彈牙, 好食!! Mixed Seafood in tomato sauce份量算多, 有Blue Mussel, 大蜆, 魚柳, 大蝦, Squid…咁多種海鮮, 我最喜歡Blue Mussel, 好鮮!反而隻大蝦有點overcook. 其他味道一般吧! Lamp Chops有3 small chops, 好Tender同好juicy. 個Sauce都做得好好!配菜有馬鈴薯片, 西蘭花, 全部都好好味~ 由於太飽我地only order左sherbet做dessert:Lemon Sherbet感覺清新,酸酸地,好啱飯後食 Coconut Sherbet好有椰子味, 不過甜了一點非常滿足的一餐!

We had a team lunch today of 12pax. The place seems confortable, the menu was ok, the food quality were ok not so good & not so bad. But what really pissed us most was the service provided to us i guess he's the MANAGER i even heard he's the owner or something....but even so the service should even be excellent if that's the case right!!Here what happened:1.When taking orders, he seems polite since he's taking the orders for our western collegues however when it comes to my asian collegues he's tone & face changed dull. Even one of my colleague asked him like what's that in the menu called in chinese...his tone became annoyed and hey this is so rude! 2. After having the main course, our director was asking what's the dessert in the set lunch and he answered "I don't know if it's enough!" So i asked "What's the dessert then?" & he said "cream puffs but i'm not sure if it's enough for 12 pax" then again i asked "if it's not enough, what are you gonna give us?" and he said "I DONT KNOW!" and said it depends from the chef!!! C'mon what on earth was that?!!! Shouldn't he go check that out right!! But anyways since we're all educated people, we all just said that we wanted a dessert no matter what it will be since it's included in the set!!!! We all knew after this lunch we will never ever go back to this place & will never ever recommend it to anyone as the service spoils everything & doesn't worth the price!!!

Going out on a dinner date. At first, turned off by the fact its in LKF Wyndham St (wanted to have a classier night) and in the basement... Also came into the restaurant bit full already.But, the food and dining experience made it SO worth it. Took recommendations from the waiter, he was confident on the popular/recommended dishes. Food: Involtini - these parma ham/ mozzarella cheese / mushroom roll-ups, 4. So good, can't really go wrong with the ingredients. Everything was juicy and light.Linguine with Clams in white wine sauce - Al dente indeed. They divided it in 2 portions for us, without us asking - which was wonderful service. Had around 14 clams or so. Very light yet tasty sauce, great touch of basil. Yums, can see why this is a popular dish.Lamb Chops - had it medium, came out medium (don't you love when that happens). 3 small chops - very tender and juicy. Had a nice sauce that wasn't overbearing, and complemented well with creamy potatoe slices, broccoli, and some peppers. You can tell that the kitchen put a good effort in these.Panna Cotta - okay. not a big judge of this. Had 2 glasses of their House Red...forgot the wine, sorry. But they were great - both very dry and easy to drink.Service was attentive. Decor had romantic lighting, small candle light, and nice touch of black/white pictures of old Hollywood glamour of some sort. Good job on decor considering there were no windows. Limited seating, I'd recommend a reservation bc it seems ppl that come here - come here often. C'mon its in LKF...and in the basement, the most obscure place. Also customers seemed bit older and all Chinese, so its def a local favorite.
