Dear all,I have alway been "foodie and wineo" trying different resturants (especially western). After watching TV about a new Harlan One at TST, I thought I would try the one at IFC............thats when the horror starts.........500PM : pre-dinner drinks with friends700PM : Arrived Harlans730PM : Ordered the following:Tuna Tartar (Complimentary......)Comment: Serving temperature was wrong!!! It was above room temperatureWineChablis x 1 glass $128Sau semilion x 1 glass $128Oysters (Fine De Claire x2, Gillardaeu x2, Kumamoto x2)Comment: Fresh (only just)Cost: $130+$128+$64Salmon Sahimi ( Harlan recommended)Comments: Fresh but too much sesame, the bean sprout salad taste like chewing on grass Cost: $168Crab Salad ( Harlan recommended)Comments: Its called crab salad!! One piece of crab (size of a one dollar coin) and four large pieces of prawns. Its tasted like a Ceasar Salad with grilled prawns.Cost: $220Dover Sole ( Signature Dish)Comments: The dish arrived cold.... even the plate was cold. So we told the waiter that is it cold and see what they would do. They try to reheat it but they could only reheat the plate. So the fish was spoiled....over cookedCost $ 588Scampi ( Signature Dish)Comments: Both main courses arrived the same time, but the scampi was grilled with some thyme. At least still warm. nothing special. And they call it a signature dish.Cost $398To summarize, the signature dishes was horrored!!! I would never go back there!!!! Other resturant in IFC serves better food.........

The buffet included all-you-can-eat starters, dessert and pasta, as well as one main meal which can chosen from a list of three. I chose the lobster for my main meal and it was AMAZING. My sister ordered grilled steak, which I had a bite of, and to be honest, only tasted average. All-you-can-eat included japanese starters (ie. sushi, sashimi, cold noodles), parma ham, cheese platter, a few starter dishes, made-to-order pasta booth, cakes, souffle (<333) etc. etc. AMAZING VARIETY and good food quality. The salmon cake tasted quite unique and good too.The table I sat on had a pretty good view of the pier, making the experience even more relaxing and enjoyable.

They have one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had! The meat is juicy and the made-on-the-premises bun is chewy and toasted to perfection; imported cheddar, bacon and the oh-so-yummy truffle mayo complete the whole package. This burger is what I always get when I'm in Harlan's.They also have a really nice brunch menu. I don't recommend their high tea menu, though (starting from 3:30 to 5): tried it once and found the scones too dry (and they came with plastic-tasting strawberry jam and without the promised clotted cream), the sandwiches too bland, and the tea lukewarm.

I have always been a fan of Harlan's, but there was no doubt that the main course (for lunch) has been somewhat inconsistent over the years. However, the last few times I've been here this year, I must say the overall food quality has improved - particularly their roast of the day (usually Rib eye) and their appetizer buffet. I called their (milk fed) lamb loin the last time, and it was very impressive.Harlan's lunch set appetizer buffet now comes with sashimi, and its VERY fresh - its flown in from Japan. Other things are pretty much the same as before, including their ace dessert, set lunch price (still in the mid $200's), service and etc.

窗明几淨, 遠眺維港, 很適合一家大小來. 服務當然不比五星酒店, 而且環境較嘈雜. 頭盤和甜品自助形式, 不包飲品, 水是免費的.頭盤十多款, 都是常見的如海鮮沙律, 雞肉沙律, 牛肉沙律, 沙樂美腸和其他熟切肉, 即切2年聖丹尼火腿和巴馬火腿配蜜瓜/哈密瓜, 自選沙律(有我喜歡的rocket leaves可配以大蝦, 蕃茄, 橄欖油, 醋, asparagus等), 各式芝士四五款(我覺得不算上乘), 肝醬多士(味道偏淡), 薄餅(厚批和薄批, 但材料較少, 且冷了), 即煮自選pasta(我要了海鮮penne, 煮得較有彈性, 且材料新鮮), 煙三文魚和另一款燻魚, 還有一款蛋批, 有很重的奶油味. 另外還有即開生蠔(可惜我戒了生蠔), 各式刺身, 蕎麥麵等等, 但不算出色, 終非日本料理.主菜可以選一. 選擇有牛柳, 龍蝦半只, 燒春雞, 鱒魚或焗洋薊芝士撻. 我要了燒牛柳, 兩大塊薄切, 四成熟無血水, 較嫩而不靭, 配以紅酒汁和南瓜, 薯仔, 瓜等配菜. 其主菜水準算是較佳(其他許多餐廳不重視主菜).甜點約十款, 包括水果, 軟身像慕絲的芝士蛋糕, tiramisu(內含原粒藍莓), 巧克力蛋糕, 各式蛋糕和小杯, 即焗梳乎厘等. 其中有一橙味慕絲小杯做得較佳. 其芝士蛋糕亦不錯, 有很濃的芝士味. 最後加一杯咖啡配曲奇.
