29/7(六) 7:30-9:30pm因AE寄來的生日COUPON(2人惠顧食物半價),早在一個月前已致電此餐廳訂位兼細閱其餐牌.準時7點半到達,此餐廳位處海景咖啡廊的上層,甫踏出升降機已感覺到那份高貴氣派:長長走廊的盡頭是充滿英倫古堡式裝潢的入口;餐廳燈光昏暗,褐色木桌椅,營造復古風味.坐在window seats視野開揚,感覺高雅!是晚入座率僅約3成,客路頗廣:外籍人士,一家大細,情侶等組合皆是坐上客.外籍女captain為我們帶位後示意可先點些飲的,要了free的distilled water.看畢menu後點了以下菜色:Grilled Foie Gras with lobster toast $200, Lobster soup $100,Caesar salad with poached egg $100,Kangaroo Loin $260,Australia Siraz 2004 red wine $50/glass.先端來外貌圓渾及呈片狀的法包,麵包外脆內軟,拿上手仍暖暖的,塗上軟滑的牛油同吃,口感不錯!若牛油香點會更好!Green bean salad(free)隨後被端上;白腰豆,芝士及什菜,配醋汁成了醒胃的appetizer!接著的是Caesar salad with poached egg及Grilled Foie Gras with lobster toast.兩者份量均不少!Caesar salad的romaine爽脆,caesar dressing加了檸汁及波蛋中和膩滯感,煙肉碎及即烘麵包粒皆香脆!Grilled Foie Gras with lobster toast--鵝肝overcooked,令其口感變差,欠缺滑溜,幸好沒甚羶味,龍蝦多士頗香脆,龍蝦味不算出,略嫌有點油膩!未上主菜及湯時,菲籍侍應先送上2客Banana & basil sorbet作清洗味蕾之用.Banana & basil sorbet--兩者的配合出奇地令味道相當平衡,驚喜之作!其後是Kangaroo Loin及Lobster soup.Kangaroo Loin --肉質及味道似牛,羊及鴕鳥肉的混合體,但沒羊般羶味濃烈,而且肉汁豐富,男友讚不絕口!Lobster soup--份量相當足,龍蝦味濃郁且香味四溢,極其creamy;置中的小龍蝦山肉質爽而鮮,超水準!!是吃過最好的一家!Australia Siraz 2004--酒香而濃,尚算易入口,aftertaste 適中,以$50這價錢可說是合格有餘!服務絕對是久違多時的professional!外籍女captain於飯局末段時亦問我倆可滿意此餐,菲籍侍應做到恰到好處,中英文皆十分流利!埋單$405,相當稱心滿意的一餐!!strongly recommended!!! 更多靚相:http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/jw!sqwaK.mRHxkgJnMO0zUw55rqryA-/gallery

My family went to Belvedere last Saturday night not for its big name. But we just had a 25% discount (excluding beverage & service charge) coupon. Four of us hoped for an enjoyable dinner with harbour view. The story, however, turns out to be distant from our expectations.Environment: The photo shown reflects 90% of the true view except that the weather was misty (it's really not the fault of the restaurant) and there's a flyover (Hung Hom Bypass) beside the big window. This flyover is just like a scratch on the portrait of the harbour view. The restaurant itself is elegantly decorated. The customers have been influenced by its decoration and the atmosphere so that all of them are trying to lower their voices as far as possible to avoid ruining the peaceful atmosphere. You may enjoy private chat with your beloved. My parents are traditional Chinese who like lively atmosphere. They seem to be a bit uncomfortable with it.Taste: We have ordered two appetizers - pan-fried scallops and another which i forget what it is. The scallops were a bit overdone. I could hardly tell the fresh taste of scallop. We also had 4 main courses - cod, linguine with seafood, veal and mutton. All of them except the veal is below my expectation. Again the fresh taste of calf is very trace as most of it has been covered by the seasoning. A tick for the butter served. With fresh fragrance and it melts when it enters your mouth. We also had two desserts - creme brulee and hot chocolate cake. Well done!! It fights back a few of the losing marks.Service: The attendants are very knowledgeable on cuisine and are able to make good recommendations. They are patient as well even when I was very slow in ordering.Price: We ended up with around $450 per head (with discount). It's too expensive for me. I expect more with this cost. Perhaps, I won't do that a second time. Pocket can't stop bleeding~~~ Cleanliness: It's as clean as that shown on the photo.

Location of this restaurant is a bit inconvenient I'm not really a regular customer. Just try it this Friday, and it live up to my expectations.The setting of the restaurant is comfortable, not so 'fine dining' style yet it gives a certain level of Grand. Be warn though, don't talk too loud!Foie gras taste good, and I think the material get most of the credit. Also take the beef tartar as appetizer, and its about average. Selected that signature dish - lamb rack as main course, and not disappointed. The out of expectation part is that if comes with mash potato with black truffle. Not much room for dessert. As a whole, if you expect high quality with high cost, this is a not a bad choice. The greatest part really is the good services from the knowledge waiter/waitress.

今日本來唸住去Ruth's Chris食扒,點知個牌寫住仲未有美國扒,得澳洲扒,所以去咗 呢度食lunch海景嘉福外牆新鋪咗,灰白色變得trendy咗講番間餐廳,個人覺得入口有氣勢,但內部裝修麻麻,又樓底偏矮set lunch 抵到難,$198 for 3 courses呢度自動斟vittel 做水,唔駛order熱麵包有兩類,一是一般法包個幾種,一是外脆內軟既孖仔包,呢個真掂,又配porcini xxx butter 同macro fish paste,夠個性得嚟 又唔錯頭盤要煎pork net包去骨quail,入面釀咗 barramundi terrine,quail夠firm,雖然胸肉位係預料中之有啲 腥味,但是可以接受,餡配得又幾ok,煎得又幾好,脾位就夠嫩,汁其實係由兩三隻叠 埋,好味得嚟有啲 驚喜主菜要龍蝦粒capellini,呢個係全埸敗北之作,仲話係chef's recommendation,龍蝦肉本身幾鮮,但成個麵同配料...唉,唔想講,唔知似乜甜品要sesame choco mousse in xxx syrup,口感超輕,味道不俗,個汁其實係用原條vanilla同cinammon整,簡單得嚟 有水準,cappuccino則一般,petit fours亦然.整體而言,如果係個麵唔掂,抵食到爛註:是次評分剔除個麵既分,無扣佢分
