After dinner in western district, we went to one of the most well-known jazz music lounges in Hong Kong - Peel Fresco Music Lounge. Stepping into the place, was impressed by the high quality performance by three guitarists. We were lucky to have the last few seats as there were not so many table for the diner. The music brought me to a calm and relaxing world. It worths HKD100 for the show and definitely valued more!! And the drinks are reasonably priced.

This is one of the most well-known jazz music lounges in Hong Kong. Situated in Central, of course it is very busy and crowded but we were lucky to be offered the last few seats. The place is loud and filled with free spirits who are so engaged in the music and not afraid to show it. For first timers, it might be slightly intimidating, especially when everyone else seems to know each other. On the night that my friends visited the lounge, there was a live band including a female jazz singer. The experience of listening to live jazz music was phenomenal and liberating but the place was indeed slightly pricey. Performance fee was 100 HKD per person and the drinks were not worth the price, given that the cocktails and wine didn't taste very nice in comparison with other bars. The up side is that peanuts were served. But in the end, the music was very much worth everything. We were pressed to pay soon after we ordered our drinks and was under the impression that we were not welcomed as the waiter kept urging us to pay. Maybe because we were not their usual customers? Maybe I misunderstood. But nevertheless, it was a lively, heart-warming experience. If you love jazz, this is definitely the place you want to be!

This place always has very cool music and good drinks. It is a little small but the intimate atmosphere is nicen my last visit my friends and I experienced terrible service. The menu says happy hour is until 8:42 or some stupidly specific time like that. We ordered at 8:25 and they said that happy hour was over because they've changed it to 8:30 (but didn't change the menu). I pointed out it was only 8:20 and she capitulated. Then we were told happy hour only applies to beer and wine even though the menu clearly shows it applying to certain cocktails. It seemed they were arbitrarily changing the menu every time we tried to order. The waitress left and at 8:29 I went to the bar to order from her because I knew if I was any later she wouldn't allow it on happy hour. When I ordered she didn't acknowledge me so I stood there trying to make eye contact. After a while she curtly said "Ill bring it to you later."Overall, the music is cool but I am reluctant to return because the service was so rude and intentionally troublesome to the customer.
