招牌菜
lunch time時同兩位同事搵食, 等左5分鐘, 只得餐廳外面有位, 餐廳外面的位冇裝修, 冇風扇, 冇景... 我地見到餐廳裡面有6-7桌, 全滿, waiter只有兩位, 所以服務好慢 我order的是spaghetti carbonara, 等左半個鐘, 終於到了, 賣相就係一碟意粉, 味道也是一般, 另外兩位同事order的pizza統統都要打包返公司食, 兩位都認為食物的味道不錯, 但等足45分鐘至有得食就真係唔係個個都願意等 下次再食, 應該要有策略一d, 先book位, 連落order, 等一坐低就有得食, 咁應該唔會好似今次咁燜

到了北角買一些東西,偶爾發現此處有間小小的Cafe,店名為Taste Coffee,即品味咖啡,這個名稱很高檔呢!又一於入來看看,喝杯咖啡也好。入了店子,發現一位食客也沒有,一心只想喝杯咖啡,見餅櫃內有雞批等的食物,但看來凍冰冰的,喝杯咖啡好了,此處咖啡的選擇也真不少,連薑味拿鐵也有,加上小店用的咖啡機是Wega的,心想此店子的質素也不會如昨日在四季的那麼差吧,即時的計劃是先試杯Latte,然後再點Espresso。過了一會,也有得喝了,但當我見到那杯拿鐵的時候,心裡即沉一沉,除了換上用紙杯盛着之外,跟昨天四季的那杯咖啡一模一樣的,Oh my god!咖啡全無香味,表面那層泡沫薄薄的,那些泡沫如肥皂泡一樣,又一神奇之作!幸好嗅起來仍有丁點奶味,再喝下一口,味道相當之淡,奶味及啡味都是相當之淡,咖啡非常夠熱,連味道及溫度也跟四季的那杯一模一樣,相信又是因為店員打蒸汽進奶內打過了火吧,過了最佳的六十度,奶內多了水氣,咖啡及奶都變得薄了,這杯咖啡根本又等於一杯加了點肥皂泡在面的Regular Coffee,明明昨夜還說不想再提,為何今天又要讓我中招。中了招還不急急腳走,所以喝多杯Espresso這個計劃,當然要腰斬,吃串好味的牛雜順順氣也好。

Came here one night before a meal nearby, wanting a shot of coffee to keep me going for the early night! A non-Chinese lady served me and I ordered a drinking-in Caffe Latte ! It was actually made appallingly unfortunately! Although the Brand of coffee they use here is one of my favourite and well-proven Italian coffees available in Hong Kong and same as that in Debailleul, Cafe Y Taberna or Cafe Golden, etc, etc, the resulting cup had 'latte' that tasted obviously re-heated and Way Too Scorching Hot, the Espresso base was ultra poor and watery beneath. Its obvious from seeing the photo too that none of the coffee flavours managed to interact, mix in and surface to the top of the coffee! This was left unfinished after 3-4 small sips and I had wasted hard-earned money on coffee from a PRETENTIOUS shop not even serious about their food and coffee. As I keep trying to carry the point forward - the COFFEE MAKER (BARISTA), is an important bottle-neck and carries much more Responsibility and FInal Influence in the result of your cup of coffee, than one could ever possibly imagine.... I certainly couldn't believe it myself until I realised, the machinery used are so sensitive, perhaps more than food is. Compared to my coffee experience at Cafe Y Taberna or Debailleul (months earlier) using the same coffee - the difference was NIGHT and DAY. Over there, I got one of the best coffees I have had the pleasure of drinking ever in HK! Not the same can be said of the same 'Coffee' served here....

Since the pictures looks really amazing on the web and there ain't much restaurant of similar kind in the distrcit, so i've decided to give it a go.... I had pasta in cream sauce; my friend had a cold angel hair noodle. For mine, the sauce was way too salty while the fillet on top was tasteless. The salmon and scallops for my friend's dish were not fresh and the portion was too small even for a girl. I guess, afterall, it's a coffee shop, so only the drinks are not bad. My apple and cinnemon tea with honey tastes refreshing. My friend thinks her hot chocolate is also ok. (Hot chocolate costs $4 dollars extra for set meal) Maybe I should try their coffee next time, but until this "below average" memory fads shall that chance arise.

24/8/09(一)上次食牛肉麵,發現了這間小餐廳,今天專程去試。天氣熱得很,在夏日精選套餐裏選了鮮三文魚帶子配冷天使麵($50) ,另一份是當日套餐的魚柳配墨魚菠菜忌廉汁意粉($45) 。等了好一會兒,天使麵來了,賣相漂亮,新鮮的三文魚很美味,出乎意料的是鮮帶子,鮮甜得很,雖然份量不多,也很開心,冷天使麵也非常出色,只是份量同樣比較少。龍利柳也是烹調得宜,亦是小巧的一碟。這裏是咖啡店,飯後當然要選咖啡。Mocha和Cappuccino,同樣睇得又飲得。不太貴的價錢,也是一間不錯的小店了。
