補回的食評...四月初十‧陰天 很久沒有吃小姐lunch了,會長提議來吃串燒午餐,當然支持。這裡有兩層,一行六人就坐了在半開放式的上層,可惜工作那樣的磨人,不然的話,這頓午餐是吃得幾自在的。 在這裡午市不吃串燒餐,其他選擇不多,難道要吃拉麵不成?所以大家清一色的要了串燒定食。又串燒定食分兩個價位,78及98的,「邊際分別」是兩串串燒,咁如會長夫人所說,20蚊兩串串燒也頗划算,就如此。但原來這裡的頭4串串燒是指定的,最後的兩串才有得自選。擾攘一輪,終於也搞定了選擇。 等了好一會,串燒以定食的形式送上來。除了串燒,還有味噌湯、飯、沙律及一件炸豆腐。先吃飯,很乾很硬,以日本米飯水準計,是遠離水準。四串指定串燒是豬肉、雞翼、八爪魚及蕃薯。普遍來說,是燒得不夠乾身,也不夠香。當中以豬肉最好吃,肉質軟熟夠味,帶肥肉的部份當然甘香;八爪魚竟然是小吃的橙色東西,都幾難在串燒店會見到此品;蕃薯很粉,不乾不香,濕濕的,而雞翼就算是好味; 之後的自選兩串,大家要了不同的東西,再攤分來試,我的結論也是,「不夠乾身不夠香」。當中粟米不焦香,濕濕的;而牛舌更是稔身得離譜,絕不好吃。 放下百二蚊,趕著回公司,不能跟大家坐到尾,下次在別處吃過。 繼續閱讀

Friend invited me to this restaurant again for a "Tasting Night". I was hesitant initially as I had a bad experience with service there before. Decided to go anyways.....I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service. 5 course meal for $200! Great deal The King Crab Leg Tempura and Ox Tongue were really tasty! Service was also friendly and attentive, especially from the new blonde waitress.Ambience was really good having dinner at the outside balcony. All in all had a great time. Service: The waitress had no clue. I had a very sensitive stomach and requested for a salad with no raw fish, or at least wanted to make the raw diced fish to all salmon (salmon should be cheaper than the other combination), but she said I had to add an additional $20, when the salad only costs $60. So I told the waitress that I would rather have the raw fish (sashimi) taken out, and asked if that means we could deduct $20. Seems like she thinks we were ridiculous and would rather have us not order any salad.The 2 of us order a small bottle of sake, she kept it far away, and never refill it for us when there's only 2 tables at the restaurant. We also ordered a draft beer, but no one told us that it was a buy-1-get-1 free. Bad marketing, or I should say bad service. We ordered a skewer set. The skewers came, and also the rice and the miso soup. When we were almost 60% done, the waitress brought us the sauce. We didn't know the skewers actually came with the sauce, and she should've brought it at the beginning!Foodortion is tiny. We only had skewers, and they are smaller than usual. They taste normal, nothing special. The total was $780 for 2 people, with a small bottle of sake and a happy hour beer. But we were only half full.... we turned out going to another restaurant afterwards. 繼續閱讀

I'm speechless about Kazu, this is the worst bar / restaurant situated in Soho area! Not only the bartender had an attitude problem and didn't know how to offer a well prepared drink, I was being insulted by his attitude. The unfortunate thing is the manager didn't care either. 每年年頭都有private banker 請我地食飯。 無他, 吾搵D客吹吓水, 點會有business 做。  記得舊年個市仲未冧時期, 俾人請咗去Landmark間Zuma。 呢間餐廳只可以用一個貴字來形容, 但因為個banker 請, 所以無謂comment 多多。  今年個個banker 都要睇 budget , 所以就俾請咗去一間係Soho 叫做Kazu新開嘅日本餐廳開年。起初吾想去, 因為之前banker請的吾係Mandarin 就係Four Seasons , Kazu都未聽過, 但係既然被請到, 都要俾面去一趟。呢間Kazu其實係擺花街和閣麟街交界PizzaExpress 樓上, 由Exchange Square 寫字樓經行人天橋去吾使十分鐘。都知道個private banker要睇 budget, 所以雖然個banker offer 我地叫 A La Carte, 我地個party 6個人個個都叫set lunch, 無謂食人隻車。  但D set lunch 都出乎意料地好, 同Zuma和最近我去過間Roka 都有得揮, 最緊要係好食, 同原汁原味, 同食得飽。講咗咁耐, 你可能會問究竟係食D咩野?值得我網上推介。Kazu其實係一間Robatayaki 既日本餐廳, 即係爐端燒, 菜式有少少fusion, 所以同Zuma和Roka差不多, 但當然價錢抵好多。  個日set lunch 我食咗個baby back ribs好似都是120蚊, 如果係Roka食, 最低限度要三舊水落樓。  但係Kazu食既baby back ribs就真係好juicy。 所以肯定知道唔係煲熟咗而攞去燒兩燒俾你食, 應該係原汁原味燒出來。 呢種口感其實係無綫 “蘇 Good” 的節目阿蘇都講過, 如果大家唔知分別就無謂吹話自己係食家。咁我D 同事食咗咩, 一個叫做個Salmon Robata Set Lunch, 都好似係130蚊, 但真係做到半生熟俾你歎。  我另外個friend就食過Alaskan King Crab Hand Roll Set買相都幾好。  其餘2個friend姐姐就無錫住過banker個荷包, 所以就叫左最貴的Rib Eye Set。  雖然貴D但係portion 夠大, 我個friend給我食咗舊, 都覺得幾有肉味和無筋。請食飯的兩個banker一個跟我食baby back ribs, 一個就食齋, 叫咗個豆腐Robata, 雖然我不是一個食齋的人, 但係下次去一定會試, 因為係第二度未見過。D banker 見到我地都係錫住佢荷包, 所以食完飯, 都係A La Carte menu 度叫D甜品round off the meal, 我就食咗過日本Tiramisu。  呢個值得推介, 因為佢俾意大利的Tiramisu多咗層啫喱, 食落有d酸酸甜甜的感覺吾係太heavy。  其餘D人無我咁adventurous,  個個都叫呢個餐廳既自製雪糕。讚咗咁耐, 都吾係樣樣係prefect, 因為可能係新開張, 所以D service 有d蝦碌, 仲覺得d裝修仲未做完。   不過算了, 人哋請食飯都吾好彈三彈四。  等呢間Restaurant上咗軌道之後, 我會再返去試下過A La Carte menu, 有幾好食到時再講。 繼續閱讀
