First, don't plan on getting a table here. There are very few tables, and when I came several of them were taken up by schoolchildren from the area drinking sodas and playing games on their phones. I ordered a classic cheeseburger set + onion rings ($15). The set came with crisscut fries and a soda.The crisscut fries were overcooked and undersalted. I still thought they were decent though. 5/10The onion rings were pretty good, but a few had burnt onions inside them. 7/10The burger was pretty bad. Others have said the patty was bland. That's true. But it's also a strange consistency. More like reconstituted meat rather than ground meat made into a burger. Too dense or something. The cheese is fake yellow stuff. It also comes with diced pickles, but the pickles are crap. The lettuce and tomato were good though. 4/10I would say it's about as good as McDonald's, but more expensive and with nowhere to sit. 5/10

Wanting to utilize a $5 discount coupon off any $50 worth of purchase, plus a wandering mind that could not generate anywhere better to eat at for lunch, my legs somehow had driven me to the Freshness Burger which is 10 minutes away from home AND school, and i basically passed by this shop at least once a day, let it be in the morning or in the evening. Funny enough, i never stopped by for lunch or dinner. I guess thats the reason why they are quite generous with their cash coupon giveaways.Anyways - the shop was crooked in shape and there were fewer tables than one could have imagined. We settled, and i went for placing the order. The menu did not look very appealing to me and, after some difficult choice-making, we three ordered 3 burgers (2 with sets), and two extra side orders of sweet potato fries and corn soup. That was not partiularly cheap either, even with the discount. We each needed to pay $60 for a burger lunch. That would definitely be unimaginable before the more expensive burger joints were opened, demostrating to HK ppl how burgers are not, and should not be regard as, cheap and junky foods.At that cost I was expecting something from this Japanese-Americano burger shop. After 5 minutes of wait the drinks and the soup came in cups. The Cream of corn soup was yellowish and was thick, however obviously made from mixing powder with hot water as the taste ws really artificial. It could have been a hearty warm drink in the cold winter, yet not very good to be drunk in the midst of a hot, stuffy summer afternoon.Then the foods swiftly came.Burgers:Ma ordered a vegetarian burger with grilled mushroom. The meat patty was replaced by a thick and juicy grilled portobello mushroom. Seasoned with sour vinegar sauce, the burger was quite refreshing and even though there were no meat in it, the mushroom was meaty enough to be satisfying. Dad ordered a classic double cheese burger. He complained about the blandness of the patty, but i thought it would have already been a lot better than what's served at M's. The burger looked quite small to me tho. My vegetarian burger with grilled tofu looked yum. I substituted the avocado slices for grilled onion and that had added some crunchiness to the soft tofu burger. The thick slab of tofu was really soft (very Japanese id say) but the taste of the bean was not too strong. Personally id rather have something rougher but more intense in taste. The teriyaki sauce did not go too well with the tofu patty as the tofu patty was just way TOO smooth and slippery for any liquid to stay in place on. all in all, the burger tasted okay, but there were still great rooom for further improvement...the problem of holding the tofu in place is a big one and perhaps that could be solved by tucking in a half-melted cheese between the patty and the bun - but that would enstop vegetarians from ordering their burgers. hmmm...Side orders:Apart from the potato wedges which came with the 2 sets we also ordered the Japanese sweet potato fries. They were much more intense in colour and was in bright orange, making the somewhat whitish potato wedges that were put in the same basket so white as it they had not been cooked at all! The sweet potato fries was really good as it was quite mushy and that resembled the texture of the roasted sweet potato street vendors sold along the street. So long were the cold says when you could hold a pipping hot sweet potato with your palms without being scalded; now that the temperature has risen, all i could do to reminiscene is to eat the sweet potato fries. The shop was small and yet quite comforty to sit at leisurely after the satisfying meal. Might go again since it was soo close to school that i could hardly say if i would go again sometime or later, but something im sure of is that i wont be ordering anything with a beef patty in - the menchi burger looked quite nice too, but i could never figure out whats actually in that deep-fried croquette - potatoes? shrimps? or..?

星期六約下午一時, 去完香港大學後, 找尋醫肚的地方。路經此地, 剛巧這陣子有興趣試試不同地方的漢堡包, 便進去一試。先在櫃檯點了個照燒牛肉鮮堡(Teriyaki), 之後拿號碼牌等候。揀了一個較入的位置。雖然就近有多間學校, 但由於是星期六這裏客人不多。店內播放著英文歌, 氣氛輕鬆舒服, 若有閒情逸緻在這樣的用餐環待上三五小時都是一個不錯的主意。不過場地略細, 全場只有二十個位。大約等候6,7分鐘, 侍應送上我的漢堡。其實同場還只有兩位客人, 侍應預防一個包的時間未免太長了。這牛肉漢堡很夠熱; 夾著頗多生菜, 塊牛肉漢堡比我想像的薄。咬了幾口, 嚐真點味道。漢堡上加的醬汁, 很配合。漢堡本身亦包含肉汁, 不是煎得或燒得太乾; 漢堡肉質挺鮮。如果厚點兒就好了! 不過$25一個, 不大抵食。

因工作關係,下午要到金鐘面聖,完事時已屆下班時間,所以就到香港大學找朋友吃晚餐。一向都很喜歡豆腐的我,早就被freshness burger的素豆腐堡吸引著,適逢友人近來又吃得清淡,就決定在這兒用餐。這是我第一次到freshness burger,這間店的面積比較少,但比一般商場的店舖,就多了一分書卷味和懷舊氣息,坐在店裡的都是十八廿二的大學生,一邊吃包一邊討論功課,真令人懷念!!言歸正傳,發現除了豆腐堡外,還新推出了素菇包,於是托店員把2個漢堡切開,好讓我跟友人分甘同味!!加了20幾蚊轉餐,小食、飲品的選擇頗多,我們分別選了沙律及薯皮,另外再加2杯coke light。沙律的蔬菜新鮮、分量也夠2人分,配以黑醋olive oil,感覺輕怡開胃!薯皮上鋪了芝士和煙肉粒,芝士焗至熔化,很香口很滿足,一人一邊的份量剛好。2個漢堡都十分可喜,豆腐扒的質感軟滑,集硬豆腐的實淨及軟豆腐的細膩幼滑於一身。香菇則很香口、很厚身、很juicy...吃完後坐了很久很久,談天說地,晃似回到十八廿二時...

来到HK的第一天,,因为肚子饿扁了,随意去了一间"M",,食佐一个随意的汉堡,感觉真的很一般般,,,后来,我坐上了一架观光巴士,围绕港岛转了一圈,来到香港大学这边,经过了一间Burger店.里面感觉很恬静舒服,很想下车一尝味道,但最终因为车子没停而错过了,,, 第二天,我还是觉得自己很是怀念这店子给我的感觉,所以一早我就出门了,一路走上去,心里想,这么早会不会还未开门呢?哈,点知原来这店为方便学生的需要早上8点半就开门营业了,很开心,我运气真不错哦,, 呵呵,看一看餐牌,因为Burger每个看上去都很吸引我.店务员向我介绍了一款很特别的,是用豆腐和牛油果整的,叫素鲜堡,,,呵呵,,一大早就适合了,一点都不油腻,这个Burger第一次听.很特别呀,,!! 来拉来拉,店务员都很亲切,都亲自送到我面前,虽然我只叫了一个Burger.送来时多了一杯暖暖的开水,很窝心噢,><,,香港的人服务态度好的可以这么好噢,很难得,,, 先咬一口,好软棉棉的,而且新鲜制造,新鲜的牛油果,新鲜的豆腐,新鲜的牛油菜,,清清甜甜的,真的很值得食啊,也很值得赞扬哦,,,~一边食一边听音乐,真的很舒服,一个身心舒畅的早上,, 真是一个特别的收获,,,~~要加油喔FreshnessBurger...下次再来香港,我会再光顾的,,
