原本這是一個質素甚佳的團購, 只怪自己遲了到訪........ 先看看團購網所列出的內容:原來這家餐廳於三星期前轉換了管理層 (大概是易手了), 連帶上述八成的食物選擇也不見了。說的不是店方因團購而刻意減少選擇, 而是連主餐牌的食品選擇也大幅減少, 數量甚至比原來的團購餐牌更少!頭盤依然是沙律和餐湯的選擇, 凱撒沙律賣相求其, 沒有誠意可言。餐湯只有南瓜湯一款選擇, 餐牌內的價錢是 $70, 實際份量卻只比湯匙大一些而已, 屬超級迷你版, 基本上喝兩三口便喝完, 實在過份。主菜方面, 原有的 Pizza 選擇全面消失, 原本心儀的燒豬肋骨同樣不翼而飛, 幸好還有兩個肉類新選擇。從相片可見, 兩款主菜的配菜是一模一樣, 而在場所見, 基本上任何主菜的配菜都是這樣, 唯一分別就是不同菜式的「主角」, 再一次, 毫無誠意可言。鴨胸色澤紅潤, 鴨味很濃, 肉質卻較堅韌; 反而燒牛肋肉沒有過韌的情況出現, 奈何調味過重。原本是衝著甜魔大力推介的 Bomb Cake (酒味心太軟) 而來, 就算團購餐不包, 也打算單點的, 只可惜這個「名物」也隨著店方的轉變而消失了, 是「檸茶」感到最可惜和失望的地方。新餐牌內, 甜品一欄只剩下 Apple Pie 和 Dessert of the Day 兩個選擇, 店員說其實只有 Apple Pie 一個選擇, 來到的又是甚麼? 「檸茶」真不敢相信眼前的東西就是 Apple Pie, 再詢問送甜品來的店員, 他才說這個是甚麼 Caramel 甚麼 Yogurt 的東西, 其實就是幾款不同口味的流質東西混在一起, 味道就如賣相般強差人意。此刻「檸茶」的心情就是徹底的失望, 不過也不能全部怪責店方, 只怪自己來得太遲了!昔日的 Brown, 永別了!

Brown is a very nicely decorated restaurant with the interior done in neutral brown tones. The seating is in chairs, plush benches and an outdoor patio in the back. The lighting is low to give a relaxed atmosphere.We reserved for brunch but when we arrived on Sunday morning the restaurant had plenty of available seating so you might not need a reservation unless you have a seating preference. We were at first seated at the nice bench but we asked to be relocated outside. There is plenty of seating out back with nice potted plants. The wait staff is very friendly at first but after they take your order you have to find them for anything else. Unfortunately the food experience wasn't as nice as the environment. I ordered eggs benedict and it came out with the eggs fully cooked and hard. I sent it back and the dish returned with eggs that were only slightly less cooked and the insides were semi solid when I cut into them. Meanwhile the rest of the benedict was cold while the eggs were slightly warm.

I found a pretty good deal for Brown on the web. The dinner set included 2 starters, 2 main courses and 2 desserts of the day. We arrived there at 7:30pm. Inside the restaurant was dark and cozy. It was not busy though. Only 3 tables were seated with diners. We hadMinestrone soup (lots of veggies, delicious according to my friend)Caesar salad(impressive crispy cheese topping)Pan fried salmon fillet(greasy vegetable side, richly flavored but overcooked salmon)BBQ ribs (nicely presented,tender, with a lovely spicy taste)Dessert of the day was banana chocolate mousse (nice mousse, soggy banana)The service was good. I will definitely come back.

We just moved to Hong Kong, and hang out in Happy Valley regularly; we wanted to find a good restaurant that we can come back to for dependable good food. Brown did not disappoint!The food was delicious, service was prompt and friendly, and for a Thursday night, we got a table right away. The place is clean and modern, but a little dark.We ordered the poutine, a veggie quesadilla, and a parma ham/fig salad which were tasty, fresh, and a good size portion. The poutine had lots of gravy, and lots of cheese--which are important features for me. Would order these again. One thing that was odd was that the can of coke was 45 dollars, which seems steep.

I pass by this place all the time it was an impromptu decision we stopped by for dinner.We ordered the steak (dinner special) and black truffle sauce pasta.The black truffle sauce with mushroom pasta was excellent. It was aromatic and tasted fantastic.The steak was juicy and tender. The side dish did much to complement the meat.The mushroom soup was also nice - rich with mushroom taste.The dessert that came with the dinner special, however, could be skipped. It was a cold piece of cheese cake which tasted quite stale.But overall, the food was excellent and both my friend and I were pleasantly surprised.BTW, the food's also very reasonably priced - $500 for 2 people w/ a glass of wine.
