Having been working late for a whole week, finally decided to treat myself better and eat more. 
As we found it good last time, we came again for a lunch buffet! It was around 1pm on Sunday and it wasnt fully booked that we were seated immediately. 
Compared to last time, this restaurant didnt change much - still rather spacious. 
1) Sashimi (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): Always the top dish to do in all-you-can-eat! Salmon was my favorite -  the slices were thick and tasted greasy. Besides, we also chose to do more shrimps and shell items and there were quite a lot of choices - even geoduk seldom served. It was fresh and chewy. Jumbo red prawns were another highlight. It was really big and had sea-water taste. 2) Sushi / Rolls (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): Another typical item that must eat. There were quite a range of choices - 3 order forms in total. It was good that the portion of each was rather small that allowed you to did more different options! My recommendation would be seared cheese shrimp roll. The chesss matched the sushi taste and the crispy shrimp made the roll texture a lot more rich! 3) Grilled Food (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): We did the grilled oysters, scallops and chicken. They were quite big but the sauce was a bit overwhelming - could be less. The timing control was good that the top was a bit burnt but inside still juicy. Other toppings, such as chicken wings and pork slices, were also delicious, very hot when served! Probably, they were cooked upon order! 4) Deep Fried Food(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): Although they were not healthy, we couldnt resist... Oysters were good attractions - juicy and coating wasnt too thick. Besides, the taro balls were another highlight - crispy coating and taro paste wasnt too sweet. Comparatively, tempura was less delicious - the coating was rather thick and there were not enough seasoning.  6) Drinks & Dessert (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): There were two freezer - one for drinks and one for ice-cream. You could get unlimitedly and there were quite some choices. Recommended to do the Chinese tea as it wasnt too sweet.

I was looking for a quiet and relaxing place to have dinner and chitchat after work with a friend. With one of my friends’ recommendation, we decided to pick Station 3 cafe as our dinning place tonight. 

It is easy to find the cafe. Just few minutes walking distance from the mtr. As we both were starving, we ordered grilled beef salad, Italian macaroni with garlic and ham, a snack platter, and two plates of chicken wings. We did order quite a lot, for two persons, I had to say. It did not take much time for the food to arrive. What amazed me when the food came in front of me were that the cafe serves food in really a big portion!  The cafe is spacious. The environment is nice and privacy is high. Although there were quite a lot of people in the cafe, it seems quiet and I enjoy the relaxing atmosphere chitchatting with my friend.  The price is reasonable. My friend and I were very full already. We were thinking to order dessert but sadly we had no capacity for it. We ordered a tea drink (in red colour). It is a lovely place. I definitely will visit it again

Having been eating in office for a week, finally decided to find some good food in Causeway Bay. Searched a while in Openrice and decided to do this restaurant. It was close to SOGO store - just a 5min walk. At its entrance, there was a big light box of its name - really amazing! The restaurant was quite big and there was enough space among tables. As we arrived early around 12pm, we were quickly seated but it started to be busy just after our arrival. More and more people came in. 1) Soup (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): This soup was included in the lunch set but yet equally delicious. Unlike other western soup that were thick and creamy, this radish soup had a light taste and that made the radish freshness even more outstanding. Besides, there were some minced radish in the soup which added colour to its texture. 2) Salad (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): We added HKD25 for a salad set and that's worthy. The portion was rather large and there were quite some vegetable types. One good point of the salad was that the chef didn't add much sauce, simply just some vinegar and salad sauce. This made it light but yet still boosting out appetite!! 3) Mixed Seafood (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): Besides, we added another mixed seafood dish for HKD55 which included oysters, abalones, scallops, prawns and clams. They were cold served with lemon and some herb sauce. Particularly, we appreciated the abalone. It was fresh and chewy. Besides, it had a light soya sauce taste which added colour to the taste but yet didn't cover its freshness. 4) Grilled Rack of Lamb (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): The most outstanding dish of the day. We ordered a medium one and it was nicely cooked. There were 2 pieces in total. The meat was tender and wasn't too fat. It was served with bbq source but I personally think relishing the lamb alone had been fine. Apart from that, the mash potato was another highlight. It did not have a strong butter taste but instead a rich herb taste, which tasted a lot more healthy. Also, it wasn't fully mashed that we could still taste some small potato cubs. 5) Roasted Bellota Iberico (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): Another highlight of the meal. Although it wasn't as soft as the lamb, it was equally tasty. Compared to the lamb, its texture was more firm and chewy. Maybe due to the food the pig ate, the Iberico had a strong meat taste that eating without dipping the BBQ sauce was better! 6) Cream Brulee (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): Compared to those from other restaurant, it had a strong milk taste and little sweet. Besides, the sugar coating wasn't too thick that made it too sweet. The portion wasn't that big that even one person could definitely finish! All in all, this restaurant served high-quality lunch. Must come back for lunch!

With a drastic drop in the temperature, it was a perfect timing to have hotpot! My friend and I decided to have a try at this Chinese and Japanese style restaurant which is simply 2 min walk from Prince Edward station. It is a bit quiet nearby but we located the restaurant easily. Luckily we did not have to wait for a seat, probably because it was a weekday. We picked Malaysian satay as the soup for the hotpot. There were quite a number for choices for this but we think that it is more worthy to order satay which costs around $78. Also, we were provided with a box of ingredients for being added into the soy sauce: We ordered a pre-hotpot snack - squid served together with salt and pepper - very tasty! For the main item for hotpot, we picked Korean Beef, which costs $168 – a total of around 12 slice of beef in rolled shape. It is not too fatty. The thickness of the beef slices is appropriate – even if the beef is soaked in the hotpot for some time its texture is still satisfactory. Another dish that we ordered is a signature dish – meatballs made of beef, cuttlefish, prawn, pork. We ordered a large portion one – such that it consists of a number of 3 for each type of meatballs. I like prawn and cuttlefish the most, although the other two are also recommended. The meatballs are quite large in size and fresh. As a healthier choice, we ordered some vegetables - Chinese lettuce. For the environment of this restaurant, it is quite spacious and quiet – a good place for chatting and relaxation, and the staff was helpful in actively introducing and recommending the dishes to us. Overall speaking, I am quite satisfied with my dining experience this time. For your reference, here is the menu:

The restaurant was located in between Central and Sheung Wan. My friends and I in a group of four decided to have a try at this restaurant because it was newly opened. We were attracted by the entrance. When we went in, we found that the restaurant was more spacious than we thought.  It was at a crowded place usually but perhaps because it was a weekend evening in Central, we did not have to wait for a seat.
We ordered three sets of dinner (see below of the menu of set dinner). Each was designed for one person. In order to try more food, we shared the dishes. First, Noodle with chicken wing and tiparos fish sauce in soup in Vietnam style. The noodle was very thin and smooth in terms of texture. Not very heavily favored but with a taste of tiparos fish sauce – the highlight of the dish. Chicken wing is served in separate plates – pretty considerate.The second dish we ordered was also noodle - Fried pad thai with seafood in Vietnam style. I could never tell how pad thai in Vietnam style is different from that in Thai style. But, Pad thai was one of my favorites at all times. Another dish that we ordered were special combination of meat with noodle in soup (raw beef, sliced beef brisket, beef ball, beef tendon, beef omasum). We decided to pick this dish because it was interesting to try different types of beef in one dish. It was recommended dish as we noticed from the menu. It tasted good, the beef was soft. Overall speaking, we would come to this restaurant again. We believe that the price was pretty fair in Central, a commercial district, and the food is of satisfactory quality.

This was my 2nd time trying this restaurant. The last time was doing lunch and I was amazed at their healthy cooking way, which brought me back to try its dinner. This restaurant was located near Lee Garden - just a 5min walk from it. The decoration didn't change much as compared to last visit - quite spacious and enough space among different tables that we had enough privacy to talk loudly without disturbing the others. At each table, there were clips and metal bin for people relishing the fried chickens - really considerate. About its menu, quite some different choices, such as typical chicken and many other Korean dishes. Below were out choices! 1)Garlic Veggie Chicken (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): A very outstanding dish of the day. It was very different from those deep fried chicken with garlic powder that could be found in other Korean restaurants. First, it was roasted but not deep fried. The menu mentioned that it was baked in high temperature with a special brazier. This made the chicken coating crispy but at the same time keep the meat inside juicy. There were quite many minced fresh garlic and other herbs used in the seasoning - this added rich taste to the chicken but yet not artificial ingredients. About the portion, it was large and could be shared among 2-3 people. Definitely a must-try-dish!!! 2) Roasted Beef Pizza (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): Another good dish of the meal. There was quite a lot of cheese but yet the cheese taste wasn't very strong that made me feel full or oily. The minced beef on top was slightly salty and added colour to its taste. Another outstanding feature was the good bread base texture - thin and chewy. Overall the pizza taste a lot more healthy than other pizza shops that we two could finish all without hesitations! 3) Fruit Beer (⭐⭐⭐⭐💢): How could a Korean dinner without beer? As my friend could drink much, we ordered the fruit beer - one was pitch and the other was grapefruit. They turned out to be really good. The fruit taste was strong and covered the beer bitterness - even children would enjoy.  The pitch beer was rather sweet whereas grapefruit was sweet and sour. Apart from these two, there were other tastes, such as mango, blueberry and lemon. Would love to try others next time. All in all, this restaurant served high quality Korean food but more importantly, they were very healthy - neither oily or fatty. Very suitable for ladies who loved Korean culture but had to keep fit at the same time!

It was not a very big café but with a warm atmosphere and full of decent decorations. We were in a group of four and had a relaxing weekday night a this café. There were many restaurants in the street but we preferred some western food so we picked this one. It was the first time for any of us to try this café.  We were first served with soup and croissant together with the set. The soup was creamy and we could feel a taste of onion and mushroom. The croissant was not too oily. The main course we ordered was M7 Austria Wagyu with Turkey Piccata – a good dish to celebrate Christmas. The meat was soft and impressive. The portion was for one person but we shared the dish so that each of us could try different dishes. We also ordered Mentaiko and Shrimp Linguine in Cream Sauce. Being a Mentaiko lover, we would describe the Mentaiko and the cream sauce as the highlight of the dish. Also, we were recommended by the staff to order the Grill Salted Spicy Prawns with Pinach Risotto. There were around four big prawns in the dish – not very big in size but tasted really fresh. We added $20 for US chips and $18 for each dish of snacks as top-up option. The snacks were mainly fried items.  Overall the meal was around $100 per person yet we were pretty full. If we are coming to Sham Shui Po next time, we would pretty likely give this café a second try~

Just back to Hong Kong from a 2-week trip in USA. Having tried burgers and steaks for such a long time, decided to get some Asian food after work at Wan Chai. This restaurant had a convenient location - just 5min walk from the MTR. It was a weekday dinner that it wasn't very full. We were immediately seated upon arrival. The restaurant was quite spacious and there were quite some tables. There was enough space among tables that we didn't hear what other were talking There were quite some choices and below were our order: 1) Soft-shell Crab Rice Paper Roll (⭐⭐⭐⭐💢): A good starter of the meal. There were six pieces in total that the portion was rather big. The soft-shell crab was deep-fried that made it quite crispy. But yet, it wasn't greasy - maybe due to the herb leaves in the roll. There were also mange pieces in the roll. They were sweet and boosted the appetite! 2) Minced Duck Spicy Salad with Thai Herb(⭐⭐⭐⭐💢): The duck meat salad had a rich taste - quite spicy and a lot of herbs were used. Besides, quite some Thai herbs were provided and they were sufficient to consume the whole salad. 3) Stir Fried Baby Cabbage (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): The only vegetarian dish we ordered for the meal and it did surprised us. The cabbage was young and fresh. It was fried with garlic that added colour to its taste. 4) Steamed Fish on Stove Tray Lemongrass (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): A good choice in cold winter days. The fish wasn't fully cooked when served and it was slowly heated by the candle under the stove. There weren't many seasonings, just some herbs with salts but that had been enough. The fish meat was firm and its freshness wasn't covered by the seasonings. There was also a small bowl of soup that could be added to the stove in case it dried up. 5) Baked Rice in Pumpkin with assorted Seafood(⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): Another outstanding dish of the day. The rice had a very rich curry taste - not only spicy but also sweet coconut milk. Besides there were quite some toppings, such as fish, shrimps and squeeze. The rice was served in a pumpkin that we could also take out the pumpkin to relish. It was soft and absorbed well the curry taste! As the portion was rather big, suggested to share among at least two people. All in all, this restaurant served high quality food with lots of choices. The atmosphere was also good that suitable for both small and big groups of friends

After working for a long project, finally got the time to settle down and tried something good. As the weather turned colder and colder, we decided to do hotpot but something new - congee soup base This restaurant was at Yau Tong - just a 10min walk from the MTR. The location was rather convenient. Hotpot with congee was its top dish and there were also side dishes served, mainly spicy Chinese dishes. Below were our order 1) Starter(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): A special starter of the meal - spicy pepper and century egg. They were not just spicy but also with a strong herb taste. They were cold when served and definitely boosted the appetite! 2) Congee base(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): This is the first time we did hotpot with congee and there were quite some choices, namely crabs, lobster, eel and even frog. Finally, we chose the one with lobster (to be described in later parts). Congee was indeed a great companion for hotpot. Its taste was not very strong that covered the taste of the toppings, especially those seafood. But yet, it could absorb well the toppings tastes. In addition, we added HKD48 for adding urchin in. It tasted slightly sweet and added much colour to the congee taste! 3) Lobster(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): The #1 dish of the hotpot. At first, we thought the set was rather expensive (HKD238 for the whole set) but after relishing, we knew its worthy! The lobster was really big. In other hotpot places, the lobsters were smaller than they were just cut into half when served. But for this, the chef cut it into 3 pieces for each half side - only big lobster could do that. Just a few minutes and it was fully cooked! Its taste was rich and its meat was very firm, very different from those you could do in buffet that the meat was rather soft. 2-3 people shared one would be the best option! 4) Oyster(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): There were around 6 in total and their portion was rather big. Although they are definitely frozen, their taste was still unpredictably good - strong sea water taste and juicy. Just around 3-4 mins and they would be well cooked - otherwise they would shrink.  5) Razor Clam(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): There were 2 per order and they were fresh. Although they were not very big, their texture was good - quite chewy. 6) Clam(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢): They came with the congee soup set but yet their quality was equally good - fresh and big in size. However, we  totally forgot them and... Finally over-cooked... Therefore, strongly reminded to mark down what were there and got it up accordingly. 7) Lamb(⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💢):The slices were very thin, with fat evenly spreading over. No need to boil so long, just around 30s. The meat itself was already quite juicy that no need to add the sauce.  All in all, this restaurant served good quality food and the price was reasonable. Definitely would be back to try again!

After shopping with my friend in Mong kok, we decided to dine at a relaxing place. We picked this restaurant as it looked decent on openrice. It was a bit hard to locate the place as we were not aware of the position of the lift in the building. Anyway, we located the restaurant eventually and luckily did not have to wait for a seat. It turned out that we pretty enjoy the atmosphere. The restaurant is quite spacious and consists of both outdoor and indoor areas. As the weather was not too hot, we sat at the outdoor area – in a European setting. Most of the customers were foreigners. The staff was friendly and recommended us on the choice of food.  We ordered Baked Asparagus with Crabmeat and Parma Ham as the appetizer. The dish was very hot. We could feel good taste of crab meat! It was a good match that the crabmeat was mixed with ham and served with Asparagus.  For salad, the staff recommended Rainbow Thai Salad for us. It was spicy but luckily acceptable to us. It consisted of strips of salmon which tasted fresh.  We ordered Spaghetti with Foie Gras Paste and Mushrooms. The sauce was tasty and the noodle texture was suitable. We also ordered red wine - a perfect match with the atmosphere here. Lastly, we concluded our dinner with Apple Torte with Vanilla Ice Cream. It took some time for this dessert to be served. The staff explained to us that it was made right after our order. The dessert looked decent and tasted good. We were pretty satisfactory and might revisit this restaurant. FYI - below are the menu:
