Came here for just a snack while shopping at City Super. Food: Just ordered a 6 piece gyoza set which was $25. Had to wait a bit even though it was 4pm since this spot in the food court is quite popular and there is definitely a queue. Turned out the gyoza was well worth the wait . The level of pan-friedness on the bottom of the dumpling was perfectly brown and crispy. The rest of the skin was nice and silky and the pork vegetable filling was piping hot. The gyoza sauce paired was also good
Food: Just ordered a 6 piece gyoza set which was $25. The gyoza sauce paired was also good with a tint of spicy. So delish I just gobbled down the 6 and kinda wished I ordered 12 instead....
Service & decor: The gyoza here are wrapped on premises and you can actually watch them make it and pan fry them while you wait for your order. A turn off was that it looked like their filling is pre-packaged since it was from a plastic bag, but to give them credit, the filling was very tasty so I didn't care for this. You eat on the open food court and may end up sharing a table with strangers, but if you're coming for just a quick bite or just the value of the tasty gyoza, its worth it. You can also get the gyoza to go and they do a good job packaging it in this box that keeps the heat in and keeps the gyoza intact.
Sizing it up: Definitely the best gyoza I've had in HK - this is comparing to all the ramen joints I've been to and other Japanese restaurants that have gyoza on the menu. I'd definitely come here again if I have a gyoza craving. As per the menu, there was other things like udon noodles and even an assortment of fried rice...but to be honest, I looked at the orders on the counter and they don't exactly look that great, just typical food court standard. So I'd come here only for gyoza to guarantee a good food experience.
