To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 隔咗成年有多,都無約啲晌同區工作嘅舊同學食吓飯,所以,夾到一日大家都方便就約出嚟聚一聚。以前大家都晌中環做嘢就比較方便,最近其中一位舊同學公司搬咗去金鐘,就要度一度地點,結果搵到位於大會堂嘅「城中館子」,正正喺大家嘅中間位。可能位置真喺有啲吊腳,上到嚟餐廳,應該喺飯市嘅高峰時間,但真喺唔多客,目測都喺5、6枱。然而環境其實幾舒服,一室以白色為主調,感覺清新,而且,牆上掛咗一啲畫作,有晒介紹,儼如一個小畫廊。環境講完,講午餐選擇,一個午市套餐餐牌睇晒,共有8款選擇,視乎所揀嘅主菜嚟定價,價錢為$128-$228,包埋是日餐湯、餐包、餐飲,可以額外加配小食、甜品。其實以中環一般食晏計,確實唔平,但計及環境舒服,方便坐耐啲傾吓偈,又唔同。羅宋湯+丹麥酥我哋不約而同餐湯都喺揀羅宋湯,因為貪佢健康啲,材料又豐富啲,確實味道方便酸香醒胃,裡面又多蔬菜,帶微微辣,確喺幾好飲;而餐包喺類似迷你嘅丹麥酥,雖然無話有咩餡,但喺入口酥香脆口。日式咖哩魚柳飯 $128掛住傾偈,大談往事,影漏咗一個舊同學嘅海南雞飯,而另一位舊同學就選咗呢個咖喱魚柳。因為喺日式咖喱關係,所以,只喺微微辣,帶點甜味,不過,佢話就幾香。雖然唔知用咩魚柳,但除咗超大件之外,炸得金黃,外脆內嫩,意外地又好有魚嘅鮮甜味,同學就話最鍾意佢無將啲汁淋落魚柳度,否則整腍晒啲「脆皮」。海鮮雞湯淮山麵 $128小弟就想濕濕哋食碗湯麵,加上呢道菜喺海鮮,又用健康嘅淮山麵,梗喺揀佢啦。嚟都嘅成品睇落幾唔錯喎,至少啲海鮮料好有睇頭,唔單止唔喺碎濕濕,而且,啲大蝦、大蜆食落都喺靚貨,唔喺雪藏嘢,有鮮味,而個清雞湯清澈鮮甜,淮山麵入口好滑溜,真喺揀啱咗。即磨咖啡餐飲就無搞咩特別嘢啦,簡簡單單要杯即磨咖啡就算,啲咖啡豆應該靚貨,因為送到嚟已經聞到陣陣咖啡香,入口好香醇,啲奶又座熱過。餐後嘆杯咖啡,確喺非常舒服。雖然話就話食晏得一個鐘,但喺好彩我哋嘅公司喺食晏時間上都唔會話好緊,等我哋可以再傾多幾句先散水。舊同學聚聚舊勾起唔少往事,難得仲有聯繫,實在喺一份恩典。 continue reading

基本上侍應和服務員願意初心是好,但是不太專業,例如會因為以店舖趕着關門,向用膳,和正在談話的食客,催眠他們埋單,結帳,破壞本身的氣氛,這件事情如果在一些比較基層的地區或地段可能可以理解,但是在大會堂高端的地方,卻有這種不專業,服務態度和行為不相稱服務員和侍應,真的令人感到失望,希望餐廳可以在這方面着手,請不要在食客用餐的時候,拿着收錢機,叫他們拿信用卡或Visa出來,叫他們埋單,這種是很不尊重的行為。應該是食客用餐完畢,決定離開的時候,才埋單,什麼時候埋單是顧客的決定。 continue reading

當日揀左窗口位望出去係city hall 內園景好chill 不過偏矮既梳化椅,坐得有啲辛苦—-枱面有QR code 比你用手機睇menu 唔係落單用⋯ 落單係要嗌職員幫你落單而當日窗口位得1個職員落單(其他職員只負責送餐)所以要等耐少少~—叉燒飯好似係必嗌,主打菜。個碗好大,睇落份量好多但係其實唔係 \(≧▽≦)/叉燒有紹興酒味煎蛋凍左,應該係一早煎定羅宋湯好足料~不過味道偏鹹⋯好鹹⋯ 仲有試左「桂花蛋撻」無桂花味,普普通通凍奶茶好香,糖水可以揀自己落,可以自己控制要幾甜—張圓枱偏細兩個人嗌兩個餐有啲迫(。 ́︿ ̀。)餐包+主菜+飲品+湯+水杯好迫(餐包好油,無食) continue reading

又到Lunch Time時間,好同事今日要去大會堂買飛,於是我哋就上OpenRice睇吓大會堂有咩好食,一睇之下,我哋就揀左城中館子試吓。可能因為喺係大會堂入面嘅關係,餐廳內環境比較清靜,坐位都舒適闊落。佢哋有午市套餐,我哋一行3人都係睇中咗佢個無骨海南雞飯😂,套餐包左餐湯、餐包&餐飲。💚馬來無骨海南雞飯 $148餐湯:羅宋湯超多菜,味道ok;蘑菇湯個味道就淡咗啲餐包:上枱熱辣辣的,好味主菜:雞肉鮮嫩又無骨啖啖肉,配埋有味既雞飯,再加上青瓜酸紅蘿蔔,大滿足餐飲:正常茶餐廳味道整體來講以呢個價錢、呢個環境、呢個地區係可以接受,如果有黎開大會堂可以一試啊。推介指數:7/10 continue reading

A group of ten of us went for dinner.  The menu was set by the chef.  We had 9 courses with 4 appetisers, soup, 3 main courses and dessert.  Among the appetisers, the BBQ pork and the duck liver on  toast were best.  The BBQ pork was tender and juicy while the duck liver was tasty but not too fatty and the toast specially made by the chef was chewy and nutty.   For the main courses, we had lobster spaghetti, suckling pig rice and grilled vegetables.  The lobster was fresh and tasty.  The suckling pig wasperfectly roasted with very delicate skin.  The rice was specially made by the chef.  He added raisins and other fruits to make the rice more appetising.  The grilled vegetables was refreshing.  The dessert was egg pudding with osmanthus.  The osmanthus fragrance made the dessert less heavy and I could not help finishing it all even thoughI was already very full from all the previous 8 courses.It was a very delightful and fulfilling meal.  We could see the chef had put in a lot of effort in trying to make every dish perfect.  My salute to the chef! continue reading
