There weren't many Irish pubs that are on my mind - Delaney's can be one of the several that I can barely name. It is always my choice when it comes to occasions with noisy people and watching soccer games. Reading from the Apple Daily News dated 9 July 2015 (Ref: http://hk.apple.nextmedia.com/news/art/20150709/19213706) that it will close down in August 2015 due to a new and more affordable bid by a new tenant, my colleagues suggested visiting this restaurant before its closure. 和其他灣仔的酒吧一樣，Delaney午市亦會變身為一西餐廳。店內地方不算很大，但座位寬敞舒適。午市set-menu簡單，只有三數款選擇，價錢約九十元起。頭盤可選湯或沙律吧。同事選了是日餐湯(南瓜湯)，份量很大，聽聞口味不俗。小弟則選了自助沙律吧，約有十款配料左右，如雜錦生菜、鮮果沙律、薯仔沙律、車厘茄、芝士、雜豆、螺絲粉、吞拿魚等等，品質都令人滿意。吃畢沙律頭盤，便可到彼鄰的燒牛肉餐車點配主菜。一碟燒牛肉有三片，份量剛好。因烹煮時間久了一點，而致牛肉過熟了一點，肉汁也因而減少，幸好口感還在控制範圍之中，不會韌口，味道屬中價貨式。伴碟配菜方面，有約十款選擇，如粟米、青豆、紅蘿蔔、西蘭花、椰菜花、薯蓉、鮮菇等等。只是每款要少許，整碟主菜也會頓時變得很有份量。加上之前的沙律吧，整頓午餐亦能做到多菜少肉之效。餐後點選餐飲，可選特色咖啡如cappuccino，賣相不錯，泡末豐富，不過，咖啡本身味道較為淡薄，嗜咖啡濃香之士未必喜歡。

曾幾何時,灣仔Delaney's,是我們的主場.自從前季首循環敗於利物浦後,一別兩年多.再來的時候,已變成熱刺的主場.香港熱刺球迷會,將Delaney's打做成為白鹿徑附近的酒館.二樓酒館的佈置,掛滿熱刺的會旗,但酒館並非只播熱刺的賽事.這夜連同多位愛華頓球迷好友,再踏足二樓,一同靈魂出竅到奧脫福.十多人圍埋一張長檯,開波之前,整個二樓酒館差不多坐滿人,除了我們,其他的全是外國人.啤酒也是例牌的Kilkenny,在愛爾蘭酒館喝愛爾蘭啤,是理直氣壯的一回事,Kilkenny已喝了多次,啤酒泡香滑,酒身爽,充滿麥味的香,冰凍又順喉.因為是開早場之故,大家也未晚飯,便點些主菜吃,酒館所謂的pub food,一向不算是什麼美食,但也是有其特色,我單點了Irish Lamb stew燉羊肉,以整個麵包,將中心挖空,盛著燉羊肉,薯仔,蘿蔔.非常之豐富.羊肉做得軟淋得入口即化,帶有一點羊肉香味之外,而且亦有點點辣度.薯仔與蘿蔔更索盡所有的精華,很好吃.一個人獨享,實在吃不消,份量太大了.另外的朋友,點了些香腸,燒雞胸,旁邊的友人D兄的炸魚薯條,我不客氣拿一點分享,Delaney's的炸魚薯條水準向來

七月中旬‧天也在哭「KC，有時想問問。」「hh啦，灣仔的Delaney's」有東西要傾，不去hh，也不知還有什麼更好的選擇。七時多，趕到來，食友已經乖乖在等。在幾款生啤選擇中，要了Kilkenny，夠凍，喝起來順喉。麥香味濃，帶點甜味，特別是面頭的啤酒泡很幼滑，拉得很不錯。要傾的事，在預計的時間內完成，但酒吧的氣氛就像是凝住了的。雖然問題未解決，但應是暢快的分道揚鑣。hh多好！
