We were looking for somewhere quiet to have lunch in Central and I have accidentally booked this nice restaurant to try 🤭It was surprisingly good, we thought that we had to choose the starters but it ended up getting all of them to share 🤗 For the drinks, you could choose either lemonade or lemon tea for free flow. So good~~~I like the beef and the spaghetti more than the chickenOverall, it was nice and I will definitely come again 🤗🤗🤗

辛勤工作了一整個星期,何不好好獎勵自己?上星期五我與友人走進了這間在大館對面的意大利餐廳。甫進門口,酒吧引起我的注意,就想在這happy hour也不錯。而餐廳則在樓上的一層。因時間有限,我們每人點了一個set lunch. Set lunch 前菜很特別,是大家share的,主菜才是各人的選擇。前菜highlight有:Gnocco fritto - ravioli 是意式雲吞,那gnocco fritto 可算是意式角仔,配以蕃茄sauce,十分野味。Mozzarella - 浸在欖油的mozzarella cheese,加上pepper and sea salt的調味,我就愛這種簡單又直接的味道。Main course我選了linguini with clams,實在太懷念在意大利吃的海鮮pasta了。當然不及在意大利沿岸城市的意粉美味,但Frank’s的linguini with clams勝在足料和新鮮。有別於一般在香港吃的蜆肉意粉——只有四或五隻蜆作裝飾。總括而言,frank’s 的set lunch性價比不俗,$198 (另收加一)。想忙裹愉閑,享受一個有質素的Lunch

辛勤工作了一整個星期,何不好好獎勵自己?


上星期五我與友人走進了這間在大館對面的意大利餐廳。甫進門口,酒吧引起我的注意,就想在這happy hour也不錯。而餐廳則在樓上的一層。


因時間有限,我們每人點了一個set lunch. Set lunch 前菜很特別,是大家share的,主菜才是各人的選擇。


前菜highlight有:
Gnocco fritto - ravioli 是意式雲吞,那gnocco fritto 可算是意式角仔,配以蕃茄sauce,十分野味。

Mozzarella - 浸在欖油的mozzarella cheese,加上pepper and sea salt的調味,我就愛這種簡單又直接的味道。



Main course我選了linguini with clams,實在太懷念在意大利吃的海鮮pasta了。


當然不及在意大利沿岸城市的意粉美味,但Frank’s的linguini with clams勝在足料和新鮮。有別於一般在香港吃的蜆肉意粉——只有四或五隻蜆作裝飾。


總括而言,frank’s 的set lunch性價比不俗,$198 (另收加一)。想忙裹愉閑,享受一個有質素的Lunch,Frank’s是不錯的選擇。

偶然搵到間好正嘅意大利菜
食韓國嘢餐前幾小碟就話見得多
平時去食意菜最多咪畀籃麵包你
但係呢度真係認真慷慨

淨係前菜都有八碟
而且全部都好好味
尤其佢個麵包呀 超正的
唔識形容呀 你自己去試啦

主菜揀咗個Steak
中環食開晏你就知
若果menu有steak
通常都要額外加錢

但呢度又唔駛喎
見咁抵 即管揀Steak
結果 當然冇令我失望
埋單連埋加一都係$220

呢度晚市係貴㗎
Op寫$400至800
所以set lunch 嚟講
咁多嘢都係兩舊水

Lunch性價比高到不得了
香港出名嘅意大利菜
都離唔開酒店級嘅
Tosca 、Sabatini

想搵價錢 較為平民化
貼地而又高水準嘅意菜
都真係幾難搵
今後會推薦哩一間

Mama食就勤力寫就懶
能夠的起心肝寫的

I came here with a friend, we had the small meatballs as complimentary appetizer and the regular sized meatballs (they don’t taste the same, so if you think you’ve already tried the appetizer and not going for the regular sized meatballs, don’t!), the orecchiette and Chicken Parmesan (signature). I gotta say, the homemade bread here was so good! Almost wanted to ask them for another basket, but I saved the quota for the meatballs, which was the highlight of the night. The orecchiette was good too. However, i wouldn’t agree the Chicken Parmesan could make it to be the signature of the resto, as we were told it was supposed to be boneless, but still we had trouble cutting because there were bones attached. So this was a minor disappointment, otherwise, the service and everything else was still good, worth a try!

回想起來,不計茶餐廳,好像很久沒有兩個人撐枱腳。剛開始時,經常都兩個人去fine dine,一吃便三四個小時。兩個人,兩枝酒,好幾次都吃到餐廳要落場,最早到,最遲走。跟他一起的時間,話永遠都說不完,時間過得特別快。才未夠一年,一切都變了。有時候留在家裡吃飯,又或者一家人熱熱鬧鬧,昇華了另一個層次。兩個人去吃飯的時間少了,只剩下兩個人去茶餐廳,又或者快快地吃個午飯,趕著下場。最近見到這間新開的餐廳,特地選了一夜,提前訂枱,兩個人來吃晚飯。期待了一個星期,5:55已忍不住熄電腦,準時6時正離開公司,出發找老公去。討厭下雨天,不過兩個人在一把傘下,攬著大家,是一種浪漫。下層是酒吧,上層是用餐位置。他的習慣永不會變,先點枝酒。背景播著音樂。知道下層有DJ,仔細一看,上層也有DJ在捽碟。我們身後的架,放滿黑膠碟。氣氛一流,不過燈光有點暗,拍照效果一般。點好菜,先來個amuse bouche。看不清楚是甚麼,更遑論拍照。一粒小肉丸,熱呼呼的,偏鹹,但細細粒,鹹度可以接受。麵包上有刨得非常幼細的芝士絲,麵包鬆軟,夠熱,很好吃。沾了蕃茄醬,同樣是頗鹹,伴麵包中和一下都可以。點的菜還沒有來,已經幾滿足。

Gamberetti fritti
Fried rock shrimp, verdure, chili aioli
炸得十分香口。炸粉又薄又脆。洋蔥和翠玉瓜切成薄片,十分好吃。在上面拿了一片覺得很好吃,沒想到下面的才是精粹。鋪滿碟子的aioli幾辣,舌頭有點火熱,十分刺激,沾在炸物上,刺激口水分泌。果然是美式意大利菜,份量很大。

Frank's pork meatballs
兩粒巨型的肉丸,淋上剛才配麵包的醬。肉丸入口即溶,跟上海菜的獅子頭有點似。超腍,有點油脂香,做得十分出色。雖然醬很鹹,但份量不多,分勻吃就剛剛好。表面還有少少完全溶掉的芝士,增添香味。

Homemade burrata & Sicilian red prawns
皮有少少厚,但它夠大,中間完全軟心,兩層口感配搭得恰到好處。中間夠濕潤,濃滑,奶味香濃。

另一次吃浮誇的burrata是在Soho的Posto Publico,同樣是homemade burrata,差不多大小。那個皮較薄,一切開就爆出又濕又濃的流心,就像吃了一大盤忌廉般,不過吃到最後有點滯。Franks的這個,外層有mozzarella的咬口,中間又有burrata的流心,較平衡。

蕃茄清甜多汁,紅蝦新鮮又甜。配烤得漂亮的麵包。個人覺得麵包跟burrata不算夾,用來伴肉丸反而不錯。

Pappardelle alla vodka
Rock shrimp, pancetta, shitake mushroom, vodka sauce
在IG見到這個意粉,為此而來。幾道都有蝦,反正已經試了rock shrimp,問店員可不可以走蝦,他很友善地為我們安排。跟配麵包和肉丸的醬,差不多。吃到第三次,覺得有點過龍了。醬汁太多,味道太濃。意粉沒有想像中彈牙。夠闊,但可以再厚一點,相信會更彈牙。沒有預期般好吃,有少少失望。

Smoked halibut
Fregola, cherrystone clams, seafood brodo
這道魚是個驚喜。聞到很香的海鮮味。魚肉超嫩滑,滑溜溜,清幽的煙燻香中有點油脂香,十分好吃。不過,下面的湯才是重點。鮮味十足,拿剛才的麵包吸了湯汁,無得頂。fregola煮得入味,即使沒有沾了湯,也吃到湯的鮮味,煙煙韌韌,硬度拿得準,我們邊吃邊讚。

Linguine aglio olio
剛才的意粉叫人失望,再點一道試試。餐牌上沒有aglio olio,店員卻按我們的要求做了這道。可惜,又再一次失望。意粉的口感一流,嚼勁無可挑剔。可是,醋太多,很酸,沒有辣,沒有蒜香。整體來說,一點都不香,只有奇怪的酸。

時間差不多了。由於我們點得太多,吃得太慢,已經過了還枱的時間。店員沒有催我們還枱,在我們吃得差不多,已經停手後,才問我們要不要到樓下繼續吃甜品。其實已到飽到要嘔了,但不想這夜這麼快完。

下面逼滿人,強勁的音樂,加上全場人的高談闊論,吵得誇張。店員為我們安排了一角的位置,已算是遠離了最吵的中心。

點了raspberry蛋糕,都可以。蛋糕有少少凍,少少硬,不是鬆軟的海綿蛋糕,反而像小時候媽常給我們吃的凍的莎利蛋糕,都幾特別。顏色看起來不算討好,但吃起來味道不似藥水,也不太假,都可以。忌廉和啫喱給蛋糕加兩層口感。

不知道由幾時開始,我們不再像一開始時,一見到大家便滔滔不絕。猜這是必經階段。不見面的時候不斷whatsapp,又住在一起,一有想說的話都即時說了,而且很多事情都心照不宜。說話少了,是我們關係進了幾步的證明。
