早前在銅鑼灣一帶辦點事,見差不多午飯時間,便walk-in到位於渣甸街一商廈內的秀殿。餐廳裝修擺設帶點懷舊日式洋風,打理得整齊企理。這次來到秀殿並沒有吃奄列飯,我所選是這裡的「自家製香溶芝士漢堡扒定食」,$128,包餐湯,沙律及餐飲。主菜自家製香溶芝士漢堡扒,漢堡扒肉質鬆軟多肉汁,配著溶掉的芝士和惹味燒汁,好食。不過這厚厚的漢堡扒對女孩子來說份量頗多,吃到最後都要投降。定食的忌廉餐湯和沙律都很一般,不吃亦無妨。 餐飲選了凍檸茶,茶香偏淡。整體來說,主菜,環境和服務都不錯,讓人能在輕輕鬆鬆食餐飯、充充電。不過定食的'配角'就有點hea,欠了點誠意。

My friend wanted to try this place so we came here on a Sat afternoon for lunch. I did my research online and ordered the omelete rice with demiglace sauce. 期待已久的奄列飯來到了。看樣子十分對辦, 奄列做得飽滿, 切一去, 第二層蛋漿隨隨流出, 確實做得不錯, 伴著用了茄汁調味的米飯, 減輕奄列濃膩的感覺。不過牛肉燴汁卻吃不到牛肉的味道, 那種帶酸得味道, 反而像男友說, 是barbeque sauce做出來的, 越吃下去就越覺得嗆喉, 所以後來我都只是吃奄列和飯, 這醬汁又令此店再扣點分, 唉….

男友點的芝士漢堡扒定食也來了, 相同的牛肉燴汁加上芝士和漢堡。作為老外, 男友對漢堡是有要求的, 據他所說, 這極其量是meatloaf, 而不是漢堡, 因為漢堡應該是grilled 的, 但這個卻吃不出有grill的味道, 而芝士和嗆喉的醬汁亦把本身的肉味蓋過了…

本來想食對面既咖啡弄不過真係多人到爆取而代之就係試下哩間昭和風的懷舊洋食屋正唔正宗就唔敢講,不過驟眼睇都有唔少日本人仕幫襯^^服務質素就有如一般傳統日店的細心誠懇~ 而且應該是即叫即煮,所以要耐心等候叫左兩個定食,分別係漢堡扒 x 奄列飯(牛肉汁)牛肉汁幾香肉味,蛋包飯貌相當的飽滿,口感出色,份量都好足,只係雞蛋味唔夠香;另外係炒飯有青椒,好唔好食就見人見致漢堡扒都算是十分厚身,混入了不少洋蔥,不過淡淡的洋蔥味沒有搶去漢堡扒的肉味奶茶冰見過,不過咖啡冰還是第一次見:)環境一如部份網友所講~ 抽氣比較差,所以唔好著靚衫黎另一方面就係門口掛住塊「招待會員」既牌,我估應該係法例所限

叫左兩個定食,分別係漢堡扒 x 奄列飯(牛肉汁)
牛肉汁幾香肉味,蛋包飯貌相當的飽滿,口感出色,份量都好足,只係雞蛋味唔夠香;另外係炒飯有青椒,好唔好食就見人見致

漢堡扒都算是十分厚身,混入了不少洋蔥,不過淡淡的洋蔥味沒有搶去漢堡扒的肉味

早聞秀殿的大名,其實想光顧很多次了,可惜午市時段由12:00-15:00,來到銅鑼灣已錯過時機,今天12:00已經來到銅鑼灣,此時不光顧,更待何時呢? 英文名字為Hidden Kitchen的秀殿,亦的確有點Hidden,隱身在商業大廈內,同層還有一韓語學校,很難想像會有一所食肆在內。到了門外,已見有兩位客人在等候,門外高掛休息牌子,心想可能差一點時間吧?怎料一位日籍侍應開門招呼我們入內時,但見已有幾枱客人在吃東西了,但時間只是十二點十分左右。我已經要坐吧枱的位置了,可見人氣有多鼎盛。午市有一個常設的餐牌,另有一個新設的,不過我一心想來吃奄列飯,因此當中最亮眼的應屬香滑奄列飯,當中有蕃茄汁、牛肉燴汁及海鮮白汁,最後我還是點了最小孩子的蕃茄汁。玉米湯玉米湯一片純淨的黃色,上面放了丁點香草,喝起來味道有種似曾相識的感覺,原來味道像極了日本細細罐的玉米湯呢!沙律想不到這裡的沙律還真不賴,一般的蔬菜沙律加些芝麻醬,菜蔬新鮮,味道不俗,不過份量偏少,但亮眼點在於有一球薯蓉。薯蓉用新鮮馬鈴薯打成,質感粉腍,當中沒加大量牛油,反而混了青瓜,吃起來粉腍中卻見爽甜,實在不得不佩服這份創意,薯蓉吃起來完全

想不到這裡的沙律還真不賴,一般的蔬菜沙律加些芝麻醬,菜蔬新鮮,味道不俗,不過份量偏少,但亮眼點在於有一球薯蓉。薯蓉用新鮮馬鈴薯打成,質感粉腍,當中沒加大量牛油,反而混了青瓜,吃起來粉腍中卻見爽甜,實在不得不佩服這份創意,薯蓉吃起來完全不覺膩滯,味道十分討好。

厚厚的奄列煎成橄欖型放在飯面,色澤鮮黃,透著熱氣,上面諗上了帶茄肉的蕃茄汁,賣相吸引。先試一口奄列,煎得尚算細滑,內裡尚有丁點蛋汁,不過略為稍欠蛋香(坐在吧枱,也見到盛蛋的紙盒,照說應該不是日本蛋了)食味亦正反映這點,而且亦沒吃到奶香味道,感覺上總是有所欠缺似的。米飯明顯用茄汁炒香,而且加入了一些青椒,雞肉,吃起來十分香口,令人印象深刻,茄汁也沒馬虎,加入蕃茄粒,吃起來頗有味道。

已經有很長一段時間沒喝過咖啡了,不過得知這裡的凍咖啡連冰也是用咖啡製成,那份認真細心的確令人動容,實在不能不點一杯以示支持。咖啡由第一口至喝光的一刻依舊濃郁,值得一讚!

秀殿店子不大,只有4-5張枱,外加一列吧枱,不過露台位置還放了兩張圓枱,想呼吸一下新鮮空氣的食客有多一個選擇。以店子Size,侍應人數不少,服務亦相當到位。食物質素相當不錯,雖然奄列稍欠驚喜,但沙律及咖啡令人印象深刻,當中光顧的不乏日本客人,相信是對這裡的食品投下信心一票吧!而最重畏是沒沾染香港食肆的惡習,縱然有客人等候亦不會催促結帳,這點值得一讚!結帳一百多個大洋,價格還算合理!

題外話:今天是我的RX-100正式服役的大日子,往後的食物寫真就多多拜託你了,還有借此機會再一次向退役的XZ-1致敬!

The reason being - this place really used to be a bar. It's a somewhat mysterious Japanese bar called "Bar Bogie".

It's so mysterious to customers that it folded.




There were 6 counters seats and 8 tables for two persons. There was also a small alfresco area with two small tables for 2 persons. Excellent for smokers.

All the table seats were full when we arrived but bar counter seats were available immediately.



Menu:

This place is most famous for their Japanese omelette rice (choice of tomato sauce, cream sauce or beef sauce) and stewed beef cheeks (?!) There are two types of Omurice. Those with an omelette placed on top of the rice and those with rice wrapped inside an omelette:

Anyway, we ordered an "Original Omurice" (with tomato sauce) set and a "Nostalgic Pork Chop" set.

Service:

Good service. Staff from Hong Kong and Japan were all very polite and efficient. Multilingual.

Talking about efficiency however, be prepared to wait for at least 15-20 minutes for your order as there is only one chef, Suzuki San from Osaka making your food to order. Suzuki san used to study cooking overseas (France?) and worked in some famous restaurants in Japan. The amazing thing is that she was smiling naturally as she was cooking throughout our stay. Seemed like she was really enjoying it.

Soup: Cream soup. Less than 100 ml . Treat it as an appetizer. Smooth with what seemed like fresh herb de province.

Salad: The veggies were very fresh. The mashed potato with sweet corn was very good. The texture of the potato was firm and the sweet corns inside the mash were - sweet.

The sauce on top tasted very much like a minestrone. The herbs used were all fresh.

The omelette was placed on top of the rice as opposed to a layer of egg wrapping the rice. The former type is suppose to have more egg sauce in it.

The egg taste was decent. The omelette was similar to those served in Japan at the famous omurice specialist "Pomunoki ポムの木".

Rice: This type of rice stirfried with ketchup is interestingly called "Chicken rice", as shreds of chicken are usually added into it. Those served at Hidden Kitchen had no chicken meat but just fried with tomato sauce.

The timing of the rice was not bad. Some omurice uses pretty wet rice and others uses dried fried rice. The texture at Hidden was somewhere between the two types. As opposed to Chinese fried rice, there is no absolute correct way for omurice as far as I'm aware.

However, it did not have as much egg sauce as I had initially expected it to have. The texture was also not as smooth as I had expected it to be. Those at Hidden had pretty good egg taste. As far as eggs are concerned, those at Kitchen M in Hung Hom were not bad at all.

All in all, pretty decent. I wouldn't be too pleased if I had to book three weeks in advance but I'd be happy if I walked-in. Then again, I've never been a fan of Omurice anyway. I ordered the Pork Steak Set instead.

This was very good and definitely worth the trek and the time.


Thick Cut (3 cm) and covered in mashed apple, vinegar plus something like a Worcestershire sauce base. Very fitting for a Yo-Shyokuya to provide this (restaurants serving Japanese/Western cuisine, usually with retro decor.) I believe this sauce definitely had quite a strong British influence.

Every single bite of the pork chop was tender and flavourful. Fittingly called a "Pork Steak" instead of a normal "Pork Chop". The strong, aromatic pork taste complimented the (nostalgic) sweet & sour sauce very well. I believe the acid from the apple and the vinegar based sauce also helped to tenderize the pork steak. Very good!

The special point about the tea or coffee is that the ice used was either frozen iced tea or frozen coffee. So the taste will remain the same even as the ice melts. Good attention to detail.

Conclusion:

-Interesting retro decor. Slightly smokey.
-Good service.
-Price of the set was reasonable.
-No complaints about the omurice but the Nostalgic Pork Steak was really good!

I feel nostalgic about it already!

個奄列超膩.....食了三分一已經唔好食, 朋友話佢好像加了CREAM入去煎甘。個飯都好加怪的味道, 有一D好像豬肉又不是豬肉 豆不像豆的東西, 感覺好加怪。個飯林林爛爛的又炒得不香, 一句講晒就係唔得囉.....

芝士漢堡: 原本還以為是個流心的芝士漢堡,意指是一個牛肉內的芝士流心,後來才知道原來是漢堡上鋪上了一塊半融的芝士,芝士融的姿態也頗為優美。漢堡是相當厚身的一塊,內面有豐富的洋蔥粒,洋蔥並不會有生澀,頗有肉香。壽星好像對這一道很滿意呢! 一吃就露出很滿意表情呢。附的薯角屬不過不失的水準,外皮稍脆,不太夠熱度,而且欠了薯肉軟香的精彩,但這也是可體諒的,畢竟這裏主打的是日式料理,而非西式呢。

牛肉汁蛋包飯: 知道這裏聞名的是蛋包飯, 所以特地要點一個,從牛肉汁和蕃茄汁之間選了牛肉汁,牛肉汁的顏色相當的深,蛋包飯貌相當的飽滿,牛肉汁下的位置亦有令整體看起來更美。輕輕從中間切開蛋包飯,雞蛋是驚喜的滑溜而有層次感,雞蛋的口感很出色,但吃下去的時候有種意料之外的微澀味道,是青椒的味道嗎? 好像大家也沒有太喜歡這道蛋包飯呢。

30小時牛臉珠肉: 對比蛋包飯,我更期待這一道煮了好久的牛肉呢,原以為還是先預訂這一道好了,後來才知道是不設預訂的。牛肉的分量比想像中要,約有8件左右,而且碟中的牛筋不少,因為點了好幾款主菜的關係,沒有特別再點一個白飯,不然可按店員的推薦點一個白飯。 我所吃的第一件牛臉珠肉是有點失望的,太硬身了,但後來吃第二件是令人滿意而驚喜的,牛肉軟香腍身,是記憶中吃過最腍身而完全入味的,牛肉汁也精彩,實在值得推薦。

薑味雪糕: 原本點了甜品,是沒有點雪糕的意思,但聽到友人對薑味雪糕很巾興趣,就點了一個,雪糕分量不少,比想像中的一球還多了半球,入口是有很濃烈的薑味,是很特別的味道,也算是有趣的嘗試,喜歡吃薑的應該會很喜歡吧,誠然,這還真不是我杯茶呢。

布甸: 除了雪糕以後,布甸便是唯一的選擇了,有點失色,假如能多加幾款甜便好了。布甸不是想像中圓形厚身而有花邊的,反而是長方形的,碟中有兩球白色的,一球是忌廉,一球是雲呢拿雪糕,雪呢拿雪糕內有碎冰,令人稍為失望。布甸的水準不錯,味道甜美而甜度恰到好處,加上忌廉會更好吃。

服務:當晚的服務水準是令人滿意的,於到步後隨即送上濕毛巾抹手,現在已經很少有了吧。想要給朋友一個驚喜,吃完甜品後悄悄的給店員一點小提示,已隨即送上點上蠟燭的蛋糕,還跟我們一起唱生日歌,滿是輕鬆愉快的氣氛。當晚一閃而過想要用餐的客人不少,但店員也不會有趕客人的意味,當晚還成了最後一檯離開的客人呢。

看到早前有食家大讚這份豬扒,想必有其特別之處。薑汁做得很濃郁,平時我們吃得多的可能是豚肉生薑燒,如果你喜歡那款的話,推介你必吃這客薑汁豬扒,因為豬扒較厚,口感先勝一籌。然後是在豬扒上的薑蓉撈了肉汁,提升了豬肉的肉味。

再次選了牛肉汁instead of蕃茄汁,是個重口味的選擇呢。上圖是已刺開了的蛋,看到其金黃色的誘惑,蛋很香滑,再多都吃得下。內裡的蕃茄底炒飯則太濕太淋,我要求的不是有鑊氣的炒飯,但這種飯有risotto般濕,但比它更軟稔的口感則叫眾人都有點失望。

今次的芝士漢堡扒肥肉較多,吃起來雖然較鬆軟但感覺肥膩,要以肥膏來換口感,感覺不良好。芝士溶掉後煙靭美味,不過相對起來,配菜的烤蔬菜更得我心!

他們的自家製飲料都不錯,小妹的薑汁汽水深得好評。

事後問友人的comment,她認為是中上的水準,但問題是沒有wow effect,像她這種一年才回港一次的人,在異地也不會懷念(事實上,好友經常跟我說起香港某些令她想念的餐廳)。看來除了叫食客當下滿意外,要令人come back還是要多加努力!

炸芝士就冇咩芝士香味,好多炸粉.

近來蛋包飯風熱,電視上的介紹亦屢見不鮮,小弟亦不甘示弱,約會了一位重耍的人去嘗一嘗這間隱世名店。小弟早在兩星期前訂座,接線生是一位日本籍的侍應,此店麻雀雖小,幾乎每晚都有捧場客。五臟俱全的它,為我們倆帶來驚喜。當晚我們準時到達此店,由於此店位於商業大廈之中,店鋪的大小如我所料。一踏入店內就有一位擬似是"接線生的侍應"招待我們,禮貌至上,不愧是日本人!店內的裝修令我們倆彷似置身日本當地一樣,一貫洋式居酒屋的風格,半開放式的廚房,只有四張散枱和酒吧枱的六個座位,牆上配有舊式掛畫和相片,日本小店的感覺,坐位舒適。很快店員便給我們端上餐牌,我們倆只作數秒的思索就決定了試此店的主打。分別是奄列飯與流心芝士漢堡扒,同時點了日本啤酒清涼一番!等了大約十五至二十分鐘,主角終於出場,先來的是流心芝士漢堡扒,刺烈的牛肉汁香味不斷向我的鼻子揮手,二話不說我已經用刀叉來招呼它,芝士汁完全覆蓋整件漢堡扒,一入口由牛肉汁與芝士汁的交融非筆墨能形容。牛肉十分軟稔,不是一般貨色,漢堡裡面加入了洋蔥粒,增加了口感,而且不太油膩,拌碟的薯角帶薯薯一起炸,為此菜生色不少!在享受酒池肉林之時,蛋包飯上場。蛋包飯賣相不錯,不同

在享受酒池肉林之時,蛋包飯上場。蛋包飯賣相不錯,不同的是飯粒不是完全被流心蛋包圍,我們倆已急不及待把切開,
流蛋很流,飯是用蕃茄醬炒,加上牛肉汁,完全地把味蕾攻陷! 其實正宗食法是先從蛋面微微切開,讓蛋汁流滿整個飯,唯有下次再來品嘗!
整體此日本風小店能夠帶軟硬兼施,軟是食物的質素與服務,硬是充滿日本風的店鋪裝修,是一間不錯的隱世小店。
