To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Have been a regular customer of il Bel Paese for more than 5 years, always love it until recently.I'm not sure if there's a new owner took over the business, but I just suddenly noticed a lot of differences compare with my last visit (2 months ago) and mostly are all negative:- They are charging 18HKD per person for STILL WATER! it is insane. It used to be free. And is feels just absurd to charge people for tap water. So if 5 person dine in they charge you 18*5 = 90 for still water, plus proport

I'm not sure if there's a new owner took over the business, but I just suddenly noticed a lot of differences compare with my last visit (2 months ago) and mostly are all negative:
- They are charging 18HKD per person for STILL WATER! it is insane. It used to be free. And is feels just absurd to charge people for tap water. So if 5 person dine in they charge you 18*5 = 90 for still water, plus proportional service fee.
- Rib eye beef steak becomes smaller. 300 gram now compare with 450 gram in the past.
- Pre-dinner bread is 50% less.
- The quality of tomato being used in salad is bad.
In a nutshell, the value of meal has dropped sharply, I'm not sure what the restaurant is thinking. Maybe they are just trying to figure way out to counter inflation. But I feel it is going too crazy on cutting food proportion or making money from just water.

This is the reason why people feel like to go other restaurant as we have better choice I offer to get the drink for my table but waitress said she will deliver to us .. unbelievable they keep us waiting only. I had went out 3 times to ask for setup the table. I requested to serve us the glass of water & they served wrongly to the table next to us who showed up later than us ..     The worst restaurant staff I have ever encountered. I dine out a lot and have tried out some of the best restaurants around the world but this experience left a bitter taste. I arrived at this famed restaurant at about 10 am hoping to  get some breakfast. After all expecting breakfast at 10 am is not out of the ordinary. Anyway, I walked in and  chose to sit at the first available table. Before I could sit down, an extremely rude manager of sorts approaches me and gives me a condescending look.

    privileged lot. 
    Please please avoid this restaurant at all costs if you want to be treated with any dignity.

    Just I decide to spend time in DB and I saw this restaurant. Ask for calamari fritti and burrata. In lack easy word was perfect. Calamari fritti was tasty perfect fried in balance. Excellent presentation. The burrata quality was not the best but the chef make even that perfect and in perfect balance with rocket salad cherry tomato wooww. My gf was very happy, me too because I choose the restaurant. I ask about the chef, and personally I congratulate him (off course Italian) for the presentation
