To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 週末同班朋友去咗八月花嘆啲點心,呢度環境真係靚,坐位都算寬敞,坐得舒舒服服,幾適合朋友聚會,不過美中不足係只有90 分鐘用善時間。價錢都係有少少偏貴。鳳爪係我地點嘅其中一款,入口啖啖味,醬汁入晒味,質地軟腍得黎又唔會太過腍,但食落去有啲偏辣,食多幾啖就會覺得有啲膩。蒸排骨嘅豆豉味幾香,但整體嚟講又未至於話特別出色,始終係中規中矩,無咩特別記憶點。壓軸嘅流心包就真係幾吸引!一撕開就見到奶黃餡滑滑咁流出黎,賣相加分,食落去奶黃香甜濃郁,唔會太膩,真係幾正。不過份量少咗啲,三個一籠,同朋友分一半嚟食,食到有啲意猶未盡。總括嚟講,八月花啲點心算唔錯,環境氣氛都好啱一家大細或者朋友聚餐,不過價錢就的確有啲貴,性價比一般。如果唔介意呢點,其實呢度係個幾舒服嘅食飯地方,但真係唔算食物主打嘅選擇。 continue reading
