Kinship located in SOHO, aims to present a relaxed atmosphere with an honest price. The best location to grab a drink after work and fostering the bond between family and friends over food and wine with worthy flavours at honest prices.

The executive chefs are formerly working at Lily & Bloom and Gough’s on Gough. (p.s. It's closed and I miss the vibes, elegant décor, and British food there.) Two chefs come up with a new idea to share the vision to bring a new life into HK casual dining scene, so now we have another chance to try their new farm to table concept. We try out their eatery's tasty signature dishes one at a time.

Overall, ambience was great and its joyful to see the dining scene back to normal and certainly look forward to be back again very soon.

What is worth to comment is that their floor staff are certainly well trained in excellent hospitality service and this has elevated the dining experience by a few folds.

They brought a complimentary slice of cake as well as a 250$ food voucher for our next visit. Oh, and a handmade bday card, signed by all the staff! Amazing!! There is hope for our world! He was even bringing food to most tables, and enthusiastically introduced the food and talked TO the food. 呢個其實係頭盤,但絕對夠晒飽肚,有得揀半份,但係份量同一般risotto差唔多😲每一粒飯都被洋蔥汁包圍着,非常欣賞飯粒al dente嘅口感👍🏻洋蔥味亦都非常濃郁,係一個濃縮版洋蔥湯,配埋隻細細炸蛋同埋炸脆蔥花,的確幾香口💥美中不足係洋蔥湯味道較酸,食多幾啖容易覺得膩🙈。比起出色嘅主菜,呢個相對冇咁突出。

Started with the Chef Gin Tonic, looks impressive, but I should have an additional shot of Gin, the taste was more like a mocktail. Shared 2 starters, Burnt Onion Risotto is delicious, a simple dish but just love the taste, 1/2 portion is more than enough for 2 persons to share. For the Charred Octopus, just full of different flavours, something to enjoy. For the main dishes, the lamb and fresh water prawn, good presentation. Taste great. Just the lamb rump a bit chewy, perhaps too much fibre, not a good cut... A side of mashed potato with a bit of meat stew and gravy, much more delicious. Another side of fries, love the sprinkled BBQ spices, just not crispy enough, better if double fried or even triple fried. Too full and no room for dessert. The waitress and waiter were just ok, just did the job, not much interaction. Waited a long time with my emptied glass of gin tonic, no offer, then I made my move and asked for another glass of wine, thought it’s the alcohol that makes money, be smart and don’t let emptied glass sitting there for too long. I could have had a few more glasses. You missed the chance. Thank you Chris( the chef), coming over and said hello. Good overall and will be back.

For the main - picked salmon and Okinawa pork belly 😋😋😋 Delicious!! Comparing with the starters, the appearance not that appealing but they are still good! 🤣🤣🤣 the pork belly looks a bit like Chinese cuisine .... Hahahaha

Desserts are lovely as well 🍫🍰🍨🍦 milk chocolate cheesecake and ice-cream ... hahaha .... the ice-cream is like sorbet or I should say it’s more like 沙冰 somehow ... is in “frozen” mode ....😅😅😅right after having sth cold = so great to have Cappuccino and Latte in hot☕️☕️☕️

Overall . A lovely dining experience with sincere service! Will go again for brunch as I really wanna try the brunch menu in EGGs! I am such an egg lover!

Out of the 11 staff that I saw (counting those serving clients and those working in the open kitchen), only two wore face masks. I could not believe it and felt very at risk my entire time at Kinship. A waitress even coughed behind my back and she had no mask. When I left, I asked the staff why they are not wearing masks, and it seems management think that clients prefer staff not wearing masks. THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG!!! We PREFER 1000% your staff to be masked, so that diners feel more safe.

Because they don’t wear masks, I RECOMMEND AGAINST visiting Kinship until the virus has died down
