Visited Moon Izakaya today for the first time on a Friday night, on recommendation of a friend. For two relatively big eaters, we ordered a 1 person set, chicken karaage, chicken wings, salmon fin, and some more sushi on the side: scallop, aji, salmon, chuutoro, hamachi and chopped scallop gunkan. All of the sushi was very fresh, and well executed with delicate care and precision. What stood out for us was the scallop (which I normally cannot stomach in Hong Kong) as well as the hamachi.

As far as the food goes, can't really complain. At Hkd 1300 for two people (without alcohol) it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

The ambience is calm and quiet, so it's probably not what you're looking for if you wanted a upbeat and noisy izakaya experience. Service is fine - nothing in particular to criticize or to praise.

All in all a good restaurant, I'll be back soon.
