If you’re planning to eat at this Ninoen, I’m going to take a guess that you might be an HKU student. Simply because this place has the best value for money and it literally right outside the MTR station. This restaurant is a place I would frequently go to with my friends over the past 4 years of my university life and it’s still serves the high quality food that I would suggest you to go. The overall restaurant is small in size. They have a separate store for dining only, but you will need to
Whilst in this review I didn’t have the sushi, it is definitely the choice to go for. It will land you with a bill approximately 100 dollars but if you want good quality and might I say large sushi, that’s the way you should go. If you want something good and quick, check out their special menu option. It is usually the cheapest option they have. You could ask the staff what it is since it’s always in Chinese. Anywho, this meal I had the option on the special menu. It was a combination of three different types of salmon in a don at the great price of 55 HKD. I would suspect the price to be double if I got this dish anywhere else in Hong Kong. Most importantly the sushi rice is of good quality. I can’t stress enough how many places don’t have good quality sushi rice and Ninoen has managed to nail this part home. Everything else falls neatly on top, the salmon was of decent quality and didn’t have a fishy smell.
All in all, if you’re in the area craving for some good old sushi, I would suggest you to go to Ninoen for a good meal.
