又到聖誕🎅🎄☃️聖誕讓人最快樂的,莫過於有個請一放五的假期。在這個假期,第一頓飯局相約在大戶屋吃。大戶屋給我的感覺是總有一間在附近,不過真正食就係第一次。由於是周末,所以人流頗多,好不容易才有位。餐牌內不少食物也很吸引,最終我們點了人氣菜式燒鹽麴熟成五花腩定食,還有炸雞翼和燒鯖魚定食。特別推介五花腩,看上去以為會很膩,沒想到五花腩吸盡醬汁的精華,咬下去嫩滑無比,入口即化,肥而不膩,用來拌飯特別美味。平時不太喜歡吃米飯的好友也吃了一大碗呢!至於燒鯖魚定食,鯖魚肥美,魚香濃郁,也是水準之作。相較之下雞翼沒有大驚喜,不過熱辣辣也挺美味。

特別推介五花腩,看上去以為會很膩,沒想到五花腩吸盡醬汁的精華,咬下去嫩滑無比,入口即化,肥而不膩,用來拌飯特別美味。平時不太喜歡吃米飯的好友也吃了一大碗呢!

同事生日,所以去慕名已久的大戶屋吃生日飯,早早去等位仍要等20分鐘左右——不過一班同事聊得開心也沒所謂啦,加上飯後覺得,等20分鐘都值得啊!入席後,光是看餐牌已令同事們好興奮,每一個都想吃!而黃豆控的我便選了自家豆腐雜菜雞肉餐走肉(對,這裡的缺點是正餐沒有素菜選擇)定食都配麵豉湯和小菜,但不包飲品,自家豆腐非常嫩滑和豆味濃,拌著燉菜來送飯很開胃在此附上同事都大讚的泡菜豬肉鍋和牛舌定食,他們都讚肉味濃而軟稔,煮得入味,大家都說這餐很滿足呢~推薦中西區的朋友在這裡來個Friday lunch喔!

最近在看日劇 <澪之料理帖> , 因此特別想吃日本料理。想要"平平地"食較正宗的曰式料理,大戶屋是一個很好的選擇。因為八點要去聽concert, 所以六點前就來吃個early dinner, 周圍只有一兩枱客。打開餐牌,真的不知道要怎麼選,每一個分類以下都有要想點的餐。把餐牌翻來翻去十五分鐘後,才點了燒酒粕三文魚定食。香味四溢的三文魚, 精緻矜貴,重質不重量,配野菜、海帶湯 、米飯及茶碗蒸。雖然茶碗蒸並沒有彷照在日劇中用上大蝦或鮑魚等矜貴食材,但濃稠的湯汁讓整個茶碗蒸十分美味滋潤,不會比劇中的遜色。配菜中的蘿蔔蓉磨得十分幼滑,口感淸爽,很適合夾雜著三文魚一起吃。如果想試試新口味或當天胃口特別好的話,還可以選擇飯的種類及份量。在用餐前後,侍應奉上的茶也十分好喝,慢慢喝著,悠悠的坐在這個舒服的環境,也是一種享受。

很久沒到大戶屋了,而這是第一次到訪中環的分店呢!中午時分人龍不算很多,很幸運的大概等了十分鐘就入座啦!餐廳環境也很寬敞呢。與友人點了兩個定食。首先就是味噌醬煮吉列熟成豬扒鍋定食。一整個鍋端上來的時候,熱滾滾的味噌汁非常吸引,而且真的很大一個呢!豬扒很厚實,有一點點的肥膏,雖然很邪惡但又真的很好吃 嘿嘿。而鍋裡的窩蛋真的很棒,送飯一流啊!可惜,如果一個人吃完的話,吃著吃著會覺得味噌太過濃味。如果再喝味噌湯的話……就更加咸啦……另一個定食就是燒醬油麴牛扒定食。牛扒用了鐵板上,而且放了洋蔥在底以往牛扒煎的太熟,非常細心呢!牛扒的肉質軟稔,只是略縑醬油味太過濃重,不過間中吃一點沙律還是可以解膩呢。定食附上的蒸蛋依舊是一級棒呢!

一整個鍋端上來的時候,熱滾滾的味噌汁非常吸引,而且真的很大一個呢!
豬扒很厚實,有一點點的肥膏,雖然很邪惡但又真的很好吃 嘿嘿。
而鍋裡的窩蛋真的很棒,送飯一流啊!
可惜,如果一個人吃完的話,吃著吃著會覺得味噌太過濃味。
如果再喝味噌湯的話……就更加咸啦……

牛扒用了鐵板上,而且放了洋蔥在底以往牛扒煎的太熟,非常細心呢!
牛扒的肉質軟稔,只是略縑醬油味太過濃重,不過間中吃一點沙律還是可以解膩呢。
定食附上的蒸蛋依舊是一級棒呢!

I’ve wrote a review for the CWB location a couple of years ago, but they’ve at last opened a branch in Central, which has made me so happy I thought I’d write another one. Ever since I tried it in Singapore (never had it in japan…) years ago, I’ve been in love with Ootoya. The food was just so well prepared, fresh and well-balanced, I think it’s the perfect neighbourhood Japanese restaurant; a place you can go again and again and be sure you’ll get a great meal, without any frills or hassle. Their Teishoku set meals add rice, soup, chawanmushi, and pickles for like 20$, and make the meal feel complete, especially if you add on the optional millet or hijiki rice.

Ootoya's HK branches have been excellent (RIP TST location), and the Central one is no exception. I’ve made it a point to try basically everything on the menu (except the beef…), and I feel qualified to say everything is at least good, though some are a little less interesting. I found the salmon a bit blah, and the soba wasn’t as chewy as homemade soba usually is. Minor quibbles for what is an amazingly consistent menu. 

My favorites are the chicken katsu with daikon, the grilled chicken with green onions, and the incredible grilled Atka/regular mackerel. I have no clue how they grill their fish so juicily while cooking it through, but almost every restaurant in HK could take some hints from this place. Simply delicious,  especially with the ton of shredded daikon they provide (add soy sauce!), and a fantastic option for non-meat eaters. 

On that note, there aren’t a ton of interesting vegetarian options at Ootoya, but they do have one of my favorite uniquely Japanese dishes –a yamakake, raw egg, okra, tofu and natto combo you mix together with soy sauce and eat over rice. The nama (fresh) tofu in general is great at Ootoya – soft and creamy, it’s not used in enough of their dishes. Make sure though to try their fabulous tofu-jako (tiny fish)-seaweed-shredded cabbage salad for an appetizer.

One thing which I’ve seen from some of the other reviewers; due to its location right in Central/Sheung Wan (L place weekday elevators at 1230pm have a special place reserved in Hell), it’s a complete madhouse at lunchtime. I usually go as close to 12 as possible and have no problems for 1 or 2 people but go after 1220 and it’s an easy 30 min wait, which I don’t think is worth it  (but i HATE waiting). Part of my enjoyment of Ootoya is its no-hassle dining experience, and I’ve never waited a second to be seated at dinner at this location (not the case for CWB).

Ootoya is a great chain and I eat there at on average 3x a week without getting bored. A great menu, consistently excellent execution and no-hassle dining (not at lunch) make it one of my favorite overall restaurants in HK. Strongest possible recommendation for a thoroughly un-fancy, delicious meal.

雖然呢間店有幾間分店,亦好多人都聽過,但我係未食過架。難得最近中環新開,我地全體同事過黎食ot飯。餐牌好多野揀,有幾款都想食,但最終都揀左呢個牛小排套餐。等左一陣個餐黎係一路"沙"住咁黎,因為佢個牛小排係鐵板上。套餐有前菜沙律,蒸蛋同湯。沙律啲菜好生唔好食,我冇食晒。個蒸蛋有好濃既蛋味,唔錯既。湯就同平時差唔多,冇咩特別。個飯我加$10要左紫菜飯,當然味道係豐富左,不過講真$10就唔係好抵。講返主菜牛小排,好香好軟淋,牛味亦重,好食啊!而佢既配菜薯蓉球亦唔錯。不過又飯又薯蓉,食到我好飽啊。

其實寧可加價 份量不少好嗎

如果可以應該試試個牛排

We took our ticket for a table and waited forever. Inside there were several tables with 1 person waiting at a 4-person table (clearly holding the table for people who hadn't arrived yet). Meanwhile there were over 20 hopeful diners waiting outside for a table. No hope of a table. The staff would not give us any estimate of how long it would take. Inside to see people sitting at tables and not having ordered yet (because their friends had not arrived yet) was extremely frustrating.We will never

We will never go back. They have so much competition in this city, it's a shame they do not know how to manage a wait list.

知道呢間餐廳到咗中環,今日就嚟試吓先😁。到達嘅時候撳完飛,等入座時等咗好耐😓,見到有位架,但肯定係人手唔夠😖,又要埋單,又要安排客人入座😖,做死一個人😖❗️到坐低就睇餐牌,好多都係燒物,有啲選擇困難症添🤣,最後都選咗燒魚🐠。每個定食,都可以選唔同嘅米飯🍚,仲可以添一個飯😄,我同行知道,就轉咗一個小食燒魚鮫,再架我一個添飯🍚。我點條燒(魚花)魚,魚油好多,肉質唔會太實,骨都唔算太多,好味道呀😋👍。定食有嘅前菜,食少少我都唔知係咩😓,酸酸地嘅。蒸蛋比咗同行食😁。麵豉湯都冇特別。蘿蔔蓉我都唔要嘅。整體環境都舒服,空間感都夠,但二人座位距離太近喇,好易聽到隔離枱講嘢。

Waiting times are long but considering no table sharing worth the wait. However after ordering, takes almost an hour to get the food on the table and they missed an order! This particular waitress’ service attitude was as poor as they come. When we ordered she didn’t even bother to take it down. And even after coming back to confirm the order with us again she still screwed up the order and ordered only one set out of the two sets we ordered! Unbelievable!

在香港和日本,都光顧過大戶屋。大戶屋的食物質素有保證,而且份量十足,好味,食材新鮮。今天到上環L Place ,沒打算吃什麼的,看看大水牌,見到有大戶屋新開了,就來試試。餐廳在十樓,光猛,座位疏落。Honey叫了味噌吉列豬扒。嘩,好大分量!一個大砂鍋熱辣辣的盛上。豬扒鬆,還有炸脆的感覺。味噌的甜度適中,很送飯!好好味!我叫了鯖魚定食。鯖魚是原條去骨烤,烤得剛剛好,表皮焦脆,而沒有烤乾魚肉的水分,還有濃濃的魚油。濃厚魚油,甘香。兩個套餐都非常美味。我和Honey都想飲咖啡,叫了一個雪糕凍咖啡和熱咖啡。兩杯咖啡都不好飲!忘了這是日式餐廳,而不是日式西餐廳,因為不是炭燒咖啡 下次要醒目一點。

兩個套餐都非常美味。
我和Honey都想飲咖啡,叫了一個雪糕凍咖啡和熱咖啡。
兩杯咖啡都不好飲!
忘了這是日式餐廳,而不是日式西餐廳,因為不是炭燒咖啡
下次要醒目一點。
