拔絲香蕉, 外不夠脆, 死黏牙背, 舌頭九牛二虎才解開, 裡面香蕉暖暖的甜, 好吃.

服務嘛, 賽螃蟹端上桌, 添醋, 即混, 提示, 來了來了, 動筷吧. (偷聽到鄰桌要求拍照才能止住)
往來關心, 盤中剩一點, 即送到最近的碗裡, 盤, 拿走.

It's my farewell dinner. I have been working at this organisation for over 2 decades. For my farewell dinner, as there are only 3 of us left in the company, we asked 5 ex colleagues to come back to celebrate with me. It was my choice to come here. I have heard my colleague say that they serve good honest Peking food and the restaurant has been around for a long time. But since I live on HK island, I haven't tried many of the old favourites on Kowloon side. When I first walked in, it was like stepping back into the 60s and it reminded me of the Pine and Bamboo restaurant in Happy Valley that closed years ago. The waiters looked like they had been there since the 60s too.

The vegetarian rolls were big rolls of bean sprouts and chives wrapped in bean curd sheets. I don't think I have had this dish before and I really like it

The shark's fins soup is famous here. For the price, there is a lot of fins unlike in restaurants where you only find one or two sad fins swimming around in soup thickened with corn starch. The soup was rich and tasty and although I try not to eat shark's fins anymore, have to say this was one of the best dishes of the night

The soup came with these baked mantou buns. They are what ancient people eat to fill themselves up. They are made of flour and water alone and are dense in the middle. I guess it's more the fun of eating them rather than for taste as they taste slightly sweet but has no other flavour. We tried to have only a quarter each.

Sweet and Sour fish was big and tasted nice. I am not sure what fish it was but it had a thick skin. Just as well it was deep fried, otherwise the skin would be very chewy

Ah, a Peking home favourite. Genuine steam pork and vegetable dumplings. The filling can vary tremendously but whatever it was, it was good as we finished the whole plate of 20 dumplings quickly

This is the sort of place where you can pig out, talk loudly and not worry about the cost. The dinner with a few bottles of beers and some soft drinks came to $1800 for the 8 of us. I hope these types of restaurants can remain as there are very few left. They are great for nostalgia.

賽塝蟹 - 果然係名菜, 我從來未食過咁好味既賽塝蟹. 平時啲蛋白就咁食都未必有佢咁彈牙, 咁爽口呀! 味道適中, 真係俾多十碟我都可以幫你清哂佢!! 蛋白都可以煮得咁好味, 勁!!

火腿津白 - 普通得滯, 加上啲火腿太咸, 不幸淪為無人理會的配角, 獨自躲在桌上的一角飲泣, 最後在不浪費食物原則下, 我地夾口夾手了結左佢既心事, 最後亦帶著笑進入我們的胃部裡

小籠包 - 老實說冇咩特別, 都係得到我媽子的偏愛才得到高的評價, 我覺得可以一讚既係價錢同份量, 四十蚊十隻, 好抵, 仲要隻隻好大隻

高力豆沙 - 又係蛋白之神奇結晶. 以蛋白炸出來的豆沙甜品, 食到過人有一種內心暖哄哄的感覺, 不得不說聲這位高力令我們心滿意足咁離開.

咦, 講左咁耐, 究竟同我個標題有咩關係? 哦, 原來係咁既, 琴日同一時段居然有三個蛋糕捧出來, 再加上我阿媽, 即係有四個壽星係度, 絕對可以大家惺惺相惜, 搞返個727老友會!

一早訂左位食飯,其間不停收碟、分食物、大碟換細碟、不停喺身邊行黎行去,以為好照顧客人,我地只係食左一個鐘,個伙記就同我地講話出面好多人等,不如包返去食,訂位又無講明食用時間,不停做小動作趕人走,包嘢食仲要用手將食物入盒,個個見到都呆晒......嘩咁返到去仲敢食咩,真係好失望,以為都唔會再去!

上周有一天公司來幾位北京客人,想食北京菜,駕車經過看到這家招牌,於是進去一試.雖然入口不太體面,但期望也不太高.上了一樓進去就有位.客人叫了四個菜,名稱記得不太準確,家常豆腐,醬爆丸子,醬溜肉絲,醬瀑雞丁. 客人本來比較奄尖,說正宗的北京菜不是這麼個做法,丸子咬起來應是卜卜脆,肉絲應該加蔥絲和其他配料一起炒,不應全是肉絲,雞丁也應加入花生米,等其他配料炒......我一早告訴客人,凡是外地菜一定是經過改良,必定不如當地地道.我不是太奄尖,覺得還行,就是油多了點.待應一直都還算是有說有笑,直到最後一刻,買單找錢時,我拿起了所有找的零錢,因為是公司報數,我又義務加班無報酬,於是沒有留下小費.侍應馬上變臉(一點也不誇張).之後一直到出門口一直沒招呼,我說唔該BYE BYE,都望都不望我們.頓時感嘆孌臉速度之快.食物不是太出色,服務也不是特別好,環境也不是太企理,睇過侍應面色,相信我下次都不會來.在灣仔富臨,我不給小費,服務員一樣笑容可掬,於是一連數日都在這里招呼客人早茶午餐等.相比之下,北京酒樓的服務有改善空間.

星期五晚去,都有幾多人等位。態度好差!為咗接客不停叫你唔好傾計,不停隊 D 餸埋來,將 D 碟換來換去。我地一圍十人食個幾鐘唔過份,但佢地不停騷擾你趕你走,我地同佢話未食完,佢仲講到出口話外面好多人等緊。好不滿,難道係外面等個 D 就係客,入咗來食個 D 就唔係?食物一般,加上 “食得好趕”,根本唔知食咗 mud,但結果每人都要 $220。 highly 唔 recommend!!!

當日因為係平日, 又訂0左位... 所以一去就坐低...去到我0地一行6大一小... 個侍應不停0甘sell 我0地食7百幾蚊0既6人餐.. 0甘我眼見我0地得6個人, 仲有一半係唔食野0既... 實食唔晒.. 加上當日係姑仔請食飯, 0甘就叫佢要個5百幾0既就算..點知唔夠5分鐘, 0的送就上齊... 但係唔熱0既...感覺好似食0個0的food court 兩食送飯... 一早煮好晒, 只係興住0個隻.唯一可讚0既就係隻鴨夠瘦, 唔會食到成口油... 埋單竟然要差不多8百蚊... 仲要全程不停0甘催你, 想你快0的走... 所以我就唔會再去囉...

閒日與一班同事到北京酒樓晚飯,七點幾到,仍未滿座。侍應不斷催促落單,已經唔多耐煩,食時不斷將大碟轉小碟,好似好趕時間咁。 當我哋差不多食完吹緊水時,侍應就開始收碗筷,到我哋嘅茶壺冇水,一位後生一啲嘅侍應幫我哋沖茶時,果位一直喺我哋張枱打轉嘅老侍應話:唔係話,仲沖俾佢哋? 之後隨即要我哋埋單,話差不多收工喎。其實當時只係九點幾,仲有一半枱未走。一直都覺得佢哋服務差,但我哋食個一千二百幾蚊嘅套餐,成百蚊茶錢,七十蚊兩碟酸菜,再加一服務費百幾蚊,咁嘅態度即使食物再好都冇用啦!都唔明佢老闆點解仲係咁縱容侍應咁去趕客(雖然都有一啲侍應態度唔錯嘅)。

好期待的生日飯自小已經成日黎呢度食飯. 以前仲細, 見到片皮鴨, 賽螃蟹好開心, 有時什至同屋企人去食午飯. 好懷念呢度舊式京菜菜式,所以我今年生日要求了黎呢度慶生! 細個食佢時, 會好開心. 原因係有芝麻醬! 大個左食番, 都係為左芝麻醬同下面的粉皮. 呢個係凍盤, 有青瓜絲, 雞絲同粉皮在內, 食用時撈下佢.可以想像新年時呢個菜式都會有好多人叫, 好意頭丫MA, 撈起撈起! 清新的冷盤小食!

小籠包大家都唔會陌生. 印象中, 小籠包都係要趁熱食, 入面包住個淡湯宋凍前食係最好, 但又唔想燙口. 要食好野係要有少少犧牲! 呢款我承認佢個皮係有點厚, 唔知係個晚唔好彩定係點. 但個湯係好清, 肉亦都搓得好好, 有D彈牙! 真係美中不足係個皮, 唉!

叉子燒餅配榨菜肉鬆, 我好鍾意要自己動手的菜式. 例如生菜包同埋呢個叉子燒餅配榨菜肉鬆! 榨菜肉鬆有點咸, 入落去個鬆脆滿佈芝麻的叉子燒餅真係好夾! 點菜時要留意, 一個叉子燒餅即係有2個"袋", 落太多小心食唔曬! 雖然有點兒油膩, 但係好鍾意佢咁惹味...諗起仍然垂涎欲滴!


大家都應該有心理準備, 食前一定要訂座. 不過訂左座有時都要係咁易等一等! 座位真係如其他朋友所講, 好逼, 枱同枱相隔唔係太遠, 每碟菜不用花太多時間便全部擠到你面前! 一早知道左咁樣情況到時去到唔好又話人地點樣點樣, 係你自己揀既!
不過都係果句, 好好味! 多謝曬呢餐生日飯!!
