My boss was a foodie so he brought me here for lunch.The decoration here was nice, they used special cutlery🤔. Starter was tuna wrapped with cucumber jelly! So refreshing. The topping was air dried beef tendon and then they deep fried it! 😱 so good!!!The other starters was nice too, I was very satisfied with the lunch I had🤤🤤🤤Their pork shoulder was nice tooooooooo omg.I will definitely come back again❤️

We liked the tender lamb from New Zealand very much. Yet I must share with you that the treasure on the plate was the pan seared minced lamb at the bottom!! So yummy!!! Fully utilized all the meats of the lamb rack

What kind of chef are you, Chef Vito? This small restaurant at hcodehongkong is new and there are lots of choices in central. Only gourmets know where to find you. ROOT may not be the best restaurant in HK, but it is the very best in the eyes of foodlovers like me

The mains were a bit disappointing. The fish looked nice and thick but it was Pacific cod (?) which was the milder and less juicy (and also cheaper) kind of cod as compared to the silky, flavourful black cod. For what is supposed to be "fine dining" I would expect at least something like sea bass. The pork shoulder tasted all right and wasn't tough but wasn't exactly very tender either. It was also a little dry, probably just because of the choice of cut. The crab meat risotto was better, even though I had the least expectation of it. The ratio of crab meat to rice was generous enough, though overall portion was pretty small. Waiter said the rice was Spanish rice not the Arborio rice typically used for risottos, and I didn't really like the texture very much but taste-wise it was okay. The dessert was sliced apple and cinnamon ice cream (though the menu said chocolate something and strawberry sorbet) and it was just fine. As you can see from the adjectives used the food wasn't particularly impressive despite the beautiful presentation. Service was also a bit slow. I know it may not be fair to judge a restaurant just by its lunch menu (especially given the huge price difference between lunch and dinner), but I definitely do think they need to improve on their lunch offerings. For the same or even cheaper prices there are plenty of better options.

Thought I’d try this new restaurant with my girls to celebrate my birthday but the food wasn’t as great as we had expected. the cactus 🌵 was a bit odd. this was just an ordinary beetroot dressed nicely. this fish was a bit salty this chicken was in my opinion the tastiest as it was very soft for a breastthis beef was 😋 yummy as well. All the dishes were very tiny. Guess they weren’t intended for sharing but we had a whole birthday cake afterwards so was fine for us girls.

Came here for lunch with a friend as we know this place was recently opened and would like to give it a try. The food and service was great and I can see that the passion of the chef as she came out to every table to stop by and ask for feedback. 羊腱的份量十足,經過廿四小時的慢煮,肉質十分嫩滑,而且保留了羊的自身肉汁,沒有半點羶味。這道菜的醬汁唔多,而味道亦唔太濃,吃的是羊的原味。配菜菜蔬十分新鮮爽口,整體味道比較淡雅。

這安格斯牛扒的肉質唔太tender, 帶一點嚼勁,而肉味亦唔太濃,但完全無筋亦唔韌。由於醬汁味道淡淡然的潤飾,可能是健康風味,所以味道唔太濃,感覺平平。

餐後少不了咖啡。這兩杯咖啡的分別唔太大。flat white 稍比cappuccino 多一點泡沫。咖啡味道幾甘香,隱約帶一點酸味,而奶滑風味也比較薄弱。



整體而言,前菜及amuse broche 味道唔錯,而主菜是正常水準,然而環境高雅而寧靜,一點也不侷促,幾適合傾計食飯。

同事帶我去試這間新開的法國餐廳,餐廳地址離公司不遠,座落在新商業大樓廈內。餐廳環境、裝修、餐具環境給我寧靜舒適的感覺,最適合我在2小時中舒緩下壓力餐廳裝修雅致、時尚,空間感足餐廳餐具別緻,麵包盤令我想起一隻荷蘭鞋,一碗一碟都好靚環境吸引外,食物制作的用心,從每道菜的食材、烹調、賣相已經領會到。見下圖。@ 檸檬牛油配法式麵包,牛油味道好清新舒服@ 精美的前菜,亦要一讚,創意烹調,食材配對,上碟精美@ 魚柳亦煮得出色,尢其經高溫煎令魚皮脆感仍能保魚肉的嫰@慢煮(24小時)羊腿,肉味濃郁,口感好好。此外,服務員細心解說每度菜的用料、烹調方法,餐廳的特色,貼心服務,態度親切,都係加分的一環。在我工作期內,我一定會再食。
