To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 自从之前在上水吃过太兴，觉得很好吃后，就一直对太兴很有好感，这次跟朋友在佐敦这边，找店，当我看到这家店时就毫不犹豫地来了，我点了一份叉烧饭，朋友点了一份咖喱牛腩，朋友表示，这是他吃过最好吃的咖喱牛腩，我觉得我的叉烧饭也不错，我的叉烧饭还送了份油菜，在这边吃到菜太幸福了。

由于市场上有不少不选择，已经有一段长时间没帮襯这类传统茶餐厅吃东西了。今天在白加士街看到太兴，也想再试试他们的味道。刚好是下午茶时段，店外摆放了相关套餐的菜单，30多元的下午茶餐跟周边的食店差不多。常餐丰富一点，但过几个小时要吃晚饭，还是吃一个轻盈一点的下午茶套餐。点了这个罗宋汤配四色卷差，但点完餐后等了差不多10分钟才送到。汤内放了点通心粉，吃完会饱肚点，但汤的浓度较低。至于四色卷，腐皮内包了点蟹柳和鱼肉，味道不过不失。较为特别是餐饮，选了咸柠水，味道带小咸，没有苦涩味，比传统的热饮好喝。
