I was having lunch with my colleague in this afternoon around 12:50PM.    We were there a couple of times already overall food and service were not bad in the past.  Not until we met this lady  "SUNILA", I gave pretty good rating to this shop.  This Philippine-no lady was the worst ever waitress I have encountered in Hong Kong for the past three decade. -  In less than 1/2 hour,  she just sent bill to us while we were  finishing the main course.  Of course I did not ask for the bill.-  While we were enjoying our coffee, she came to our table again and ordered us to leave because some people was queuing outside-  I told her to STOP standing next to me and stop yelling a few times but she insisted to continue.-  I asked her to go  away and call the manager to come.  She claimed that she is the Manager and wrote her name to me on the paper.I paid almost HK$400 for a terrible dinning experience , I guess I'll more enjoy to dine in a fast food restaurant.  So. when you intend to visit this shop next time, please make sure this lady is not around.    continue reading

原本想喺上環食清湯腩, 突然被途經的玻璃屋吸引, 看看門口的餐牌,有 fish and chips, 記得之前喺倫敦食過,所以就好想尋回昔日的味道。其實餐廳入面唔算太大, 但係環境幾好, 由於外牆係落地玻璃,所以望出去街景都好舒服。 而菲律賓侍應服務都ok啦。 入到嚟梗係食 fish and chip,再加杯凍檸茶。 雖然份量冇倫敦嗰度咁大分及魚質不一樣, 薯條亦冇倫敦咁大條, 始終兩地都有一定嘅差別, 但係喺呢度食都有另一番風味。 continue reading

During the tea time, I would like to find a place to relax and have a drink. The Cottage is a good place to enjoy the tea set. We ordered fish & chips and baked chicken with cheese pasta. The tea sets included the drinks and we chose iced lemon tea.Fish and chips is good choice in tea time. Good flavour and let me to think if I'm in England. The baked chicken with cheese is tasty too.The price is within $100 per set. Good price to enjoy the comfortable restaurant. continue reading

周末邊行上環邊覓食,經常經過這間玻璃屋小店,未食過,不如今天試下!店內裝修走型格工業風,夠chill夠relaxed。原本以為是pub,應該沒什麼午餐可以選擇,但望着餐牌,原來都有很多菜式選擇。聽說這間小店的牛肉水準很頗高,雖然我不是很大食,但也很想試試,於是便點了「經典牛肉漢堡配英式薯條」。麵包外層鬆脆,內層充滿麵包香味,亮點是牛肉漢堡,估不到極濃牛肉味,配合芝士,好吃到停不了口!薯條粗幼適中,調味調得很恰當!友人點了「香烤越南咖喱盲鰽」,盲鰽煎得外脆內軟,魚肉非常嫰滑,亮點是咖喱,我們不吃得辣,這個汁完全不辣,還極富椰香味,撈飯和薯仔一流!這個午巿套餐,只是百幾元,但水準極高,比一般連鎖餐廳還要高,CP值這麼高,真的值得推薦,下次一定再來試試其他菜式! continue reading

Start to finish this was a bad experience. Been there before and it was acceptable but my last visit has cemented the fact that we will not return. We went here because my friend wanted black pudding which was shown on the menu on social media. There was no black pudding. The orange juice they served us was Juicy Juice which is disgusting but also they served another table actual orange juice. I ordered the hanger steak and mashed potatoes and onions. There were no onions which was not the end of the world. The real offensive tasting issue with the dish was that there were olives in the mashed potatoes. Who puts olives in mashed potatoes even???Service was poor at best. When we walked in nobody even acknowledges us so we sat ourselves. I watched another pair of people walk in, same thing and no temperature check. I watched another man stand staring at the 2 waitstaff for a solid 4 minutes waiting to be seated before he sat himself at a seat, waited again and then stood up to get a menu for himself. I also watched 1 of the girls working wearing gloves to handle food and then tie up her hair with her gloved hands and then return to touching food. She clearly doesn’t understand the idea that just because gloves offer some protection to her, if they’re changed regularly, touching her hair and then patron’s food is far from acceptable hygiene practice. continue reading
