To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

九龍城餐廳小店雲集,尤以泰菜特別多。是晚到訪的小曼谷海鮮燒烤屋,隔一條街已有另一分店。兩店有新舊之分,食品亦有少許不同,但兩者有一共通點,就是門外放有頗為搶眼的吹氣迎賓公仔,時刻的街外的人招手。餐廳雖為泰國餐館,裝潢泰國風味不重,座位密度略高。翻過餐牌,先點選飲料,簡單就是美,一個大大的椰青果然無令人失望,水多清甜,更驚喜的是當中的椰肉十分白滑嫩口,激讚!小吃泰式炸芝士蝦丸(小),是餐廳推介菜式。蝦丸幾大粒,外層香脆不油口,內層彈牙度中規中矩,中心部分芝士呈半流心狀,味道濃郁。燒物鹽燒馬友魚,以海鹽塗上魚皮燒製,味道當然鹹得很,不建議吃。去皮後白滑魚肉可見,魚鮮味甜,肉質軟腍,又無乜骨,味道不俗。想風味一點,蘸上酸辣汁吃亦不錯。泰皇咖哩炒珍寶大頭蝦是另一推介名物,珍寶大頭蝦有兩只,開邊成四件,每隻蝦有七八寸長,果真夠大隻。肉質方面,蝦肉普遍結實,但也有個別部分結實感不足。至於用上的咖哩汁,味道甜感重,無乜辣度,雖調味理想,但咖哩神韻則不夠踏實。既然咖哩汁味道理想,用以配上薄餅或蒜蓉包是不錯的選擇。泰式蒜蓉包焗得香脆熱辣,蒜蓉醬夠惹味香口,不論空口吃或沾上咖哩汁吃亦佳。心中唯一疑問是做法

一行二人吃畢以上美食已很滿足,結賬前店員送上一小碟泰式甜品,由左至右分別有椰汁糕、西米糕及大菜糕。椰汁糕以斑蘭調味調色,食感帶點黏糯,幾好食。西米糕口味比椰汁糕甜,味道OK。大菜糕口味最淡,口感似較硬身而易碎的啫哩,個人不太喜歡。
