To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今次冬至歡聚宴,有幾道特別推介嘅美味,真係令我印象深刻。首先要講下手工製壽桃包,呢個甜品外形可愛,內餡又豐富,咬開後流出嚟嘅餡料真係驚喜,寓意又好,食完心情特別愉快。仲有全隻乳豬,每一口都係酥脆嘅皮,配埋嫩滑嘅肉,調味剛好,實在係聚會中嘅明星菜式,仲可以拍照留念,真係吸引。再講下上湯焗龍蝦,湯頭鮮美,龍蝦肉質又嫩,吸收咗湯汁嘅精華,每一口都好享受,真係回味無窮。當然,清蒸老虎斑都唔可以唔提,魚肉新鮮,蒸到啱啱好,保留咗魚嘅鮮甜,搭配少少醬油,味道更加好,實在係一道唔好錯過嘅佳餚。但係,今次最想重點推介嘅就係鮑魚!鮑魚鮮甜又彈牙,無論係清蒸定炭燒,原汁原味都好好。餐廳處理得好好,搭配少少醬油或蒜蓉,簡單但真係好味,食完真係令人流連忘返!整體嚟講,呢些道地美食令今次冬至宴會更加圓滿,實在值得一試!
