To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今次一家人去旅行,搭早機當然要食定早餐先。千里迢迢入來,難道又食外面都有的連鎖快餐店嗎?(OK 翠華也是連鎖耶)但起碼我們不會常常去翠華。座位都幾寬敞的呀。原本我想吃的東西原來早餐是沒有供應的,因此我們一口氣點了一大堆東西,包括一個早餐 A ($36)、早餐 C ($36) 和翠嘩奶油豬($11)。給那些 「『魚』情未了去又來」的廣告荼毒得多,又叫了魚蛋米($44)和鮮蝦菠菜餃麵 ($35)。早餐A包兩隻烚蛋、牛角包、仿鮑魚絲火腿通粉和餐飲。我吃了隻烚蛋,質感以茶餐廳來說很不錯了,還連埋個蛋杯,都很認真的。牛角包就當然不可以跟西式麵包店的比,但(高級)茶記喎還想怎樣?早餐 C 則是炒蛋,也 OK,雪菜肉絲米和火腿也就讓家人吃了。翠嘩奶油豬是翠華名物當然要點,未在翠華吃過它的兩老覺得很有兒時吃到的風味。(價錢當然是漲了幾十倍!)至於不是在早餐餐牌裡的兩碗粉麵其實都蠻好吃,而且不太覺得有味精,加上用那個有柄的碗拿著吃便不會燙手了,只是價錢也是很貴囉。
