To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今天在外面做事情,當完成工作後已差不多晚飯時間到了,我和朋友在附近找了這餐廳吃晚飯,我們到達時間大約七時正,還需要等一下時間才能進駐餐廳,這間餐廳環境很舒適枱與枱之間空間也足夠,當我們坐下來看着餐牌上各式各樣的美食,真的眼花撩亂,跟着我們點了三道菜,第一道菜是薑蔥螃蟹,這個蟹上枱時已有很香的薑蔥味道而這個蟹又新鮮肉質又彈牙真的是好味,第二道菜是虎皮尖椒爆牛肉,這個菜有點火辣的感覺因為牛肉上沾上尖椒的香辣味令到肉質鮮嫩之餘還有少量的香辣,真的很美味無窮,而最後一道菜是蒜蓉粉絲蒸扇貝,這個扇貝上粉絲深透着蒜蓉的香味帶出了扇貝本身的鮮甜的味道而且扇貝本身又肥又大又多汁真的樣人一試難忘,下次我們一定會再來的感恩美食。
