To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 父母總係鍾意上茶樓食中菜,但係屋企樓下果間屋村酒樓又食得太多,開始覺得悶。橫掂呢排天氣幾好唔熱又無落雨,我就提議去屋企附近富臨酒家食飯,我仲記得細個間中阿媽都有帶我黎飲下茶架。富臨呢度嘅選擇比起屋企酒樓多好多,又有冬瓜盅、各款燉湯、最強海鮮推介等等,真係睇到餐牌都已經覺得好肚餓了。另外,仲有晚飯3寶推介,加上一系列精選特價小菜,樣樣都咁好味,既然係咁,我地決定唔叫飯,只叫餸。由細養成嘅習慣,就係開飯前先飲湯,呢個金銀菜燉白肺,可以潤肺止咳,而且阿媽話洗豬肺好麻煩,而家出街食唔洗自己洗又有得飲,特別好味喎。限量每位只可叫1份嘅蠔皇八頭鮑魚扣金錢,特價只需$26.8一位,冬菇大大隻,鮑魚就炆得夠腍。真係估唔到,有冬菇、鮑魚食$30都唔駛,去邊度搵呀。老婆最鍾意食泰式炒通菜,加上新鮮爽口嘅蝦球,所以就叫左呢個泰皇蝦球炒通菜。有阿媽鍾意嘅豬肺湯,又有老婆鍾意嘅炒通菜,咁又點少得老爸至愛嘅火腩大鱔煲呢。半肥瘦嘅火腩肉,混入呢個惹味十足大鱔,食得老爸津津有味。脆皮豬手份量夠大,而且外皮煮得非常香口,但略嫌比較乾身,但整體黎講尚算不錯。雖然話今晚唔叫飯食,但為免老爸半夜要起身煮麵食,最後都叫個生煎菜
