To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 餐廳講求的是服務態度及食物的質素, 港灣茶餐廳兩樣都做不到. 先講服務態度. 本人就餐時餐廳人客不多, 坐位多的是, 但主管及老闆分別叫本人及友人不要坐卡位因我們不足六位, 但因我見其他同款卡位皆多數為二人同坐, 所以我多問一句老闆為何其他人可以我們不可以? 主管就回應:"咁你地坐埋一邊! 有人要搭台!" 老闆亦同時開一張未有內容的單放台上, 以表有人坐. 但都我們食完都不見有人答台, 可見其行為只為為難食客. 小氣態度非常人能理解. 主管態度非常差, 老闆態度幾乎要用惡劣來形容! 其他員工服務態度正常, 怪哉!再講食物質素. 是次食的是早餐, 餐牌上的Ham Burger 原來是漢堡牛扒不是漢堡包, 漢堡亦寫成漢寶, 硬邊的煎蛋明顯預早煎的, 漢堡牛扒沒有味道, 暖通粉難入口, 不熱. 食完後兩小時肚痛去看醫生, 証實為急性腸胃炎. 希望此無敵海境餐廳能快速改善.
