一般的日本餐廳上的是玄米茶或烏龍茶,這間卻是菊花茶。雖然未知是否和日本菜相夾,但清新的味道卻令人精神為之一振。

秉承先生食後熟食的原則,刺身先上。其實將刺身置在冰上的處理方法很常見,但卻不代表是正確。因為新鮮的刺身客人會一口吃掉、而且是會不斷的吃,根本不需要放置在冰上保持"新鮮"。將刺身放在冰上,除了再一次將刺身凍(殺)死,實在再沒有其他用途。
The way of handling Sashimi was routine, by placing it on top of ice. It was, however, not necessary as sashimi is supposed to be consumed within a short period of time and therefore should be always in room temperature.  Placing it on ice will not help to preserve the freshness, but will just ruining its taste.

再說這個刺身也是僅令人滿意。尤其是仍然冰封的劍魚腩和不爽口的赤目,更加只是僅僅合格。
On the other hand, the sashimi itself was not that "fresh" at all and was just barely tolerable.  Some of them were still frozen and even tasted weird.

蟹籽沙津的味道倒是比較正常,但蟹籽的分佈並不均勻、而且略嫌有點不足。
The crab roe salad tasted well, but the distribution of roe was not even and appeared to be insufficient.

清酒煮蜆的處理是令人不解的。首先,已煮熟的蜆和檸檬汁其實不夾。另外,無論是用味覺和嗅覺,蜆和湯汁本身也沒有一點清酒的痕跡。嚴格來說只算是煮蜆,而且蜆本身也不是新鮮的。
The handling of the Japanese steamed clams (with sake) was puzzling.  First of all, cooked clams did not match with lemon sauce at all.  Besides, not a single trace of sake could be tasted or smelled from the dish.  Last but not the least, the clams were not fresh.  Everything appeared to be wrong in this dish.

串燒的處理倒是相當正常。例如這個白鱔,並沒有燒得太熟,入口也溫熱適中。雖然表面的魚片的處理有明顯的改善空間,但合格有餘,比起煮蜆好太多了。
But the handling of the kushiyaki was good.  For example, this eel is properly prepared - it's not overcooked and did not smell fishy.  Although the handling of eel skin was definitely not good, but generally speaking, this eel was acceptable.

另外雞軟骨和牛舌也是合格有餘。雖然略嫌雞軟骨的調味是接近沒有,但入口乾脆、口感也有骨質感,明顯是烹調得好;至於牛舌,表現沒有腥羶味已經合格,要再好點其實是可遇不可求。
The handling of chicken cartilage and ox tongue were also good.  The cartilage was a bit tasteless but crispy.   The ox tongue was also not gamey at all.  But of course, they were not the best I ever had.

這個糖燒菠蘿也很不錯。孤不論糖漿的分佈不均勻,但糖的味道和菠蘿的味道很配。是整晚最滿意的食物。
The roasted pineapple was the best .... despite the fact that the distribution of sugar was not even, the sugar itself was matched with the pineapple.

 結論︰1. 沒期望就沒有失望。2. 店名沒有改錯。
Conclusion : 1.Better come with no expectation.  2. This restaurant was named perfectly.
