人生總有些不如意的日子,太座身體抱恙,要入院動小手術,留院一天半,身為她的另一半,要時刻陪伴左右鼓勵和支持,翌日中午出院,知道她可以正常進食,但為免人多擠迫,選擇了在醫院附近的酒店午膳。中午時份,這中式餐館只得七成滿,我們被安排在較入位置,不太嘈吵,正好讓太座安心享受午餐。細閱點心價目,由$33至$65不等,共41款,而小食一律是$75,有24款,而粉麵飯類則由$88至$198,共有15款。茗茶每位$16,另花生小食每份$15,這些訂價在酒店來說,不算太貴。茶葉我選了鐵觀音,茶味清香怡神,可惜是我們所坐的地段,不像大堂前的檯有蠟燭小座暖著茶壺,擺放了一段時間便變涼,難道不夠小座用?雖說太座是可以正常進食,但為了她的健康,我也要小心翼翼揀選食物,煎炸的,辛辣的,蝦蟹、燒鵝等,暫時不吃為妙,我挑選了些較清淡的羅漢紫竹卷,玉翠素蒸餃,燒汁鰻魚蛋白炒飯和欖仁馬拉糕。等了一會,最先送來的竟是燒汁鰻魚蛋白炒飯,我有點愕然,中式的飲食,也會分前菜/頭盤,主菜,甜品等次序,我不侈望一般酒樓懂得分出菜的先後,但在酒店內的中菜服務,我是滿有期望的。這碟炒飯,份量頗大,材料是切得很幼細的鰻魚,還有菜粒,蟹籽

茶葉我選了鐵觀音,茶味清香怡神,可惜是我們所坐的地段,不像大堂前的檯有蠟燭小座暖著茶壺,擺放了一段時間便變涼,難道不夠小座用?

雖說太座是可以正常進食,但為了她的健康,我也要小心翼翼揀選食物,煎炸的,辛辣的,蝦蟹、燒鵝等,暫時不吃為妙,我挑選了些較清淡的羅漢紫竹卷,玉翠素蒸餃,燒汁鰻魚蛋白炒飯和欖仁馬拉糕。

等了一會,最先送來的竟是燒汁鰻魚蛋白炒飯,我有點愕然,中式的飲食,也會分前菜/頭盤,主菜,甜品等次序,我不侈望一般酒樓懂得分出菜的先後,但在酒店內的中菜服務,我是滿有期望的。這碟炒飯,份量頗大,材料是切得很幼細的鰻魚,還有菜粒,蟹籽和蛋白,飯炒得乾身,味亦調得不錯,而蟹籽的處理亦佳,沒有因受熱而變成嚇人的啞色,也許是鰻魚切得太袖珍,不太嚐出鰻魚的味道。

玉翠素蒸餃,七彩的蔬菜粒從薄薄的餃皮透出來,蔬菜的種類大概有翠玉瓜,甘筍,冬菇,粟米之類,雖然沒有肉,但入口滿是菜根香,一點也不覺單調。羅漢紫竹卷,原來是煎的,幸好不是煎得香脆,我也讓太座小嚐,腐皮包裹著幾種菜蔬絲,外面以一小塊紫菜在中間橫紮著,紫菜的輕微海水腥味,讓腐皮的味道增加點新意,太座吃得開心。

我選了軟綿的欖仁馬拉糕給她作甜點,馬拉糕夠熱,夠香,又夠鬆化,糕身蒸得透徹,顏色烏潤,很有水準,雖然豬油對身體益處不多,但吃這糕點,丁點兒豬油能令糕點的味道大大提昇,偶爾吃一件也不礙事的,若是甘香的欖仁能再下多一點,定必令口感更佳。
