To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日好想食份西多士做下午茶,意樂既下午茶我就一直都未食過既,咁岩黎到筲箕灣,依到又有間意樂,又見佢無人排隊,所以就諗都唔洗諗入左去。依間意樂我就第一次黎,環境都算唔錯,係暗左少少。伙記數目都唔多,樓面得兩個人,可能係下午茶鐘數所以咁少伙記啦,如果lunch都係咁既人數應該幾唔得閒。咁佢地見到我都好快過黎幫我落單既,咁都唔錯。咁我就叫左個下午茶既粗粒花生醬厚切西多士配英倫糖漿,個size都算唔錯,唔會太細,下午茶黎講岩岩好。未切開就見到佢金黃色,就知佢係岩岩新鮮炸出黎!咁落左糖漿,搽左牛油,一切就見到入面有好多粗粒花生醬,放埋入口,甜得黎又有少少咸香!糖漿就夠甜既,唔會係好假既甜,花生醬就略帶咸香,就加埋本身岩岩炸起既西多夠哂脆,真係好好食!最後跟餐加左杯凍檸茶走甜,冰唔太多,杯野岩岩好可以解一解膩!依個下午茶好滿足呀!
