To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 遍佈港九既南記, 應該好多人都認識架喇, 招牌春卷應該都係眾人必食首選.而我都一樣, 周不時都釣癮想食南記.配搭都會有好多選擇, 淨係粉麵都有米線、米粉、河粉同麵揀. 不過近排好似唔見左牛筋哩個選項, 令到我D同事稍有卻步.不過唔緊要, 春卷始終係深得民心既, 而酸辣湯亦都係常駐選擇既榜首, 雖然佢不定期會出新款, 試完都仲係會回歸春卷酸辣既懷抱.辣度我一向都會叫中辣, 有時叫大辣好似又辣左D, 食唔倒個香味, 而有得揀的話, 我盡量都唔會選米線, 因為米線太過彈口喇, 當然好多人就係喜歡食佢既彈口感覺. 雖然南記既河粉唔似一般粉麵舖既幼滑, 但融入左酸辣湯, 口感即時變左另一個層次. 選單餸春卷的話, 佢會比4條你, 每一啖河粉, 都可以配搭春卷黎咬, 簡直係不得了. 仲有佢既配菜都不容忽視, 酸菜同芽菜都係好爽口好味, 酸菜唔會太酸, 不過塊腐皮我就唔太喜歡, 因為咬落口個質地有少少怪, 好似膠膠地咁, 不過留待最尾, 我都會食埋佢既, 但唔可以全塊食落口, 細細啖咬既話, 就唔會有個個奇怪感覺喇.
