幾年前的情人節開始,已經再沒有二人世界,每一年都是三人行。到了今年,小公主甚至已經隱約知道什麼是情人節,嚷着要同爹哋媽咪一齊慶祝,但又要指定食佢最喜歡的「焼肉」⋯⋯ 她唔識講日式燒肉,但就不停地說要食 yakiniku。如果唔滿足佢願望,當晚一定冇啖好食,於是,揀了「298 Nikuya Kitchen」尖沙咀分店,提前訂枱。以有限的日文水平,Nikuya 即是「肉屋」;一方面示意餐廳係日本料理、另一方面表明食肉為主 …… 兩個條件綜合起來,餐廳名字已經間接話比客人知道,這是一間日式燒肉料理。只是有一點不太明白,到底「298」有什麼特殊意思?從餐廳名字已可以推敲,並非走傳統日式燒肉店路線。室內裝潢果然有相當濃厚的西方酒吧式餐廳風格:燈光暗淡、四周都是英文餐牌及廣告。尤其是那句口號「NO BEEF NO LIFE」,雖然嘩眾取寵,但又真是事實,牛肉肯定是日式燒肉不能缺少的主角;同另一張poster 的標語「Every season is BBQ season」相輔相成。牆上掛有一張英文版本的 Beef Cut 圖鑒。論牛肉部位劃分的細緻程度,肯定及不上日式燒肉餐廳的日文版 Beef Cu
