To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 很多時候,新年,無論初一至初四,甚至毛去到初五、六,有些店主都說要加價,或是加一服務費,有些更是加20%,好像挺為過分。像銀龍這個做法,就比較醒目,預先已經弄好另一張餐牌,明碼實價,沒有服務費,叫客人吃得比較安心。由於妻子生怕肚餓,還是點了個飯,竟然在下午茶點福建炒飯,令我捧腹大笑,汁醬都不算太多,但炒飯都算有輕微鑊氣,還算夠熱。我的特色西多士,原來是已小塊的麵包做多士,弄成特色西多士,不算太過油膩,亦都不會太厚,但亦都有牛油以及糖漿,和傳統的正方形西多士稍微不同,不過其實中間的花生醬,少許失望,但味道來說也不太差。佢仲有雞翼,溫度高,不覺得油,亦都不太油膩,肉香非凡,味道相當不錯。不過令我喜出望外的,就是因為先前無論在青衣還是美孚的銀龍,感覺上奶茶咖啡都只是中規中矩,不覺得特別出色。但反而這次來到,可能都接近五六時,茶滾得比較耐,因此覺得,這杯鴛鴦的味道挺為香濃,奶茶以及咖啡味道都出眾加煉奶亦都不會太甜,感覺比起大埔其他小店都未必遜色,更勝於某些小型茶餐廳。
