To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 最近銀座有好幾間餐廳陸續開張,早前去過香港達人吃早餐,當時樓上的太興和拉麵店仍未開幕,得悉已開幕後趁平日跟家人一起嚐嚐新店!在平日晚飯時段也不乏食客等候,尤其是旁邊的拉麵店,相信跟天水圍缺乏日本料理選擇大有關係。一行三人共點了三款小菜,首先是我提議的菠蘿咕嚕肉($64)。後來查看照片才發現手震了,請多多見諒!伴有菠蘿、青瓜、洋蔥和木耳,咕嚕肉酸酸甜甜,肉質軟腍,有咬口,合格水準。第二道菜是北菇豆腐魚柳煲($71)。這個煲沒有讓我們失望,來到時非常熱辣,煲用上木盒盛載,感覺較為安全。煲內的材料很入味,最喜歡是魚柳,熱噴噴,咬下去很鬆軟,夠香口。當然不少得點一份蔬菜呢!我們選了滑蛋蝦西蘭花($71),配搭較不肥膩。滑蛋滲進西蘭花內,吃起來清新,不過不失。最後還追加了一份乳豬達人($64)。色澤不俗,但質素依然使人失望,皮脆肉不會太肥,但卻沒有特別好味的感受,燒味類水準普通。 上次在其他分店時已覺得太興的燒味一般,希望店方可以提升燒味的質素,不然會被小菜水準蓋過主打。但值得一讚的是,員工的服務質素很好,很有耐性且會主動為客人推介!
