To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 喱度D燒臘賣貴人地一般十幾廿蚊,但質素卻只係好一般無甚特別,同人地D真正出名燒臘飯店果的味道冇得比,但人地就都冇咁貴…諗住食物一般但收咁既價錢,服務一定會唔同D啦,點知真係畀倒我「驚喜」!話說尋日去幫襯,諗住D燒臘冇乜特別就試下其他野,於是叫左個賣$40既臘味糯米飯,味度唔算特別好又唔算好差,但就好油膩下,又唔想再飲甜野於是叫侍應加D茶,點知好戲就上演: 前後叫左3個不同侍應(其中一個兩次)總共4次,佢地全部個口會應你「好呀」但行動上完全可以做到"分離運作"唔會真係加畀你!睇住佢地漫不經心地做晒所有其他野但就偏偏完全記不起幫人客加茶…由此除左證明員工服務質素差之外,這亦大有可能是「公司政策」!無所不用其極咁迫D客人另叫飲品! 此等手法極其低莊嚴重惹人反感!就算街邊大掛檔問伙記拎多杯清茶都唔會話唔畀你。比一般貴既價錢,但服務比最低既更低!我同我D家人朋友絕對永遠唔會再幫襯!再睇番呢度原來仲有咁多各式各樣既劣質服務,一再證明絕對唔係個人既錯覺。太興新世代完全是蔡瀾美食坊的污點!
