To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 看完鄭秀文演唱會,回到屯門已夜深,老公說有點餓,深夜的市中心選擇不多,於是選了太興。燒味雙拼飯-宵夜($58)老公選了叉燒、燒鵝。想不到這次份量慷慨,叉燒、燒鵝份量不少。叉燒外層蜜香味濃,半肥瘦,肉嫩豐腴,厚切叉燒口感十分好。燒鵝算是肥美,選鵝胸位置,味道也不錯。雪米肉絲湯米($36)這兒的雪菜很合我口味,並沒另用汁醬去醃,保留雪菜原味,卻不會過咸。而老公則十分欣賞它的米粉,該用上東莞米粉,甚有米香,口感爽身,不錯。餐飲是熱奶茶和熱檸茶,一貫的水準,雖知道冰鎮奶茶始終是最好,但天寒地凍,即使嘴饞也要為健康多想一步的呀。
