To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚約咗家人吃飯,他們㨂了我最喜歡的火鍋,而地點就是旺角,來到時看到門口裝修真係以為去了戲院睇戲,又有售票窗口,又有劇照海報。上到二樓分了左右兩邊,每邊都有四、五張圓枱,仲有個用火水爐裝飾的牆,感覺好像回到七、八十年代。首先侍應送上一個鮑魚雞煲,個雞煲都幾有水準,啲雞都好味唔會煑得太硬唔會老,味道都幾濃郁,連洋蔥同蒜頭都咁好味,每人都有一隻鮑魚。通常好多都係食完雞煲加水俾你打邊爐,但係火水爐唔會係咁,因為雞煲還雞煲,邊爐還邊爐,所以係叫了一個鴛鴦鍋底,係沙嗲湯底併芫荽皮蛋湯,沙嗲湯超濃,芫荽清甜。個海鮮盤好得,啲海鮮好新鮮好彈牙,脆肉鯇魚片、脆肉鯇魚腩、海蝦、生蠔、貝殼。生蠔係黐住貝殼㗎👍,認真新鮮。呢度啲手打丸,丸好好味,唔似係交嚟嘅,個廚師嘅手打丸了得。我推薦黑蚊蚊嘅墨魚丸👌👍安格斯牛肉,厚度適中,只要滾一會就可以吃,味道濃郁。黑毛豬切得薄些,完全沒有騷味,果然係好豬。將牛肉、黑毛豬放在沙嗲湯最正,丸類和海鮮就放在芫荽湯,唔會搶走鮮味。最後仲有紅豆、雜果涼粉,為今晚作出一個句號。
