To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 金銀蛋浸莧菜($65)很多蛋白,但皮蛋粒和咸蛋黃卻很少。嫩嫩的莧菜浸泡在上湯,味道適中,不會過咸或過淡。八珍扒大鴨半隻($98)與八珍炒麵的用料不同。計有鮮魷,冇味蝦仁,海參,香滑鳳片,叉燒,泡油春蛋,吸收濃汁的魚肚,薄片帶子各兩件,一開二小棠菜四棵,當然吾少得半隻燜過龍的鴨。筷子一挾,皮,肉和骨很容易分開,味道和肉質就像我兒時吃的罐頭紅燒排骨一樣。德國咸豬手($98)賣相吸引的咸豬手熱辣辣上枱,店員用刀叉把約六吋長的豬手骨肉分離。怕吃了脆卜卜的皮會上火,可沾少許附上的南乳醬,油膩和熱氣感盡消。豬手的肉與超市檔口賣的豬手味道一樣咸香,很嫩滑。
