To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 街坊酒樓,疫情之下人流亦十分多,差不多滿座。其中套餐值得推介價錢十分實惠。今日我哋吃了其中推介的清蒸長腳蟹,價錢不算十分實惠,但分量十足,沒有偷公減料,蟹肉非常新鮮彈牙,蟹腳鮮甜,打開蟹蓋,肉汁徐徐流出,有海水的咸及鮮味,感覺跟日本吃的味道非常相似,不相伯仲。此店其他燒味亦非常出色,個人喜愛叉燒及燒肉,今日點的是BB乳豬份量比較細,皮薄肉嫩,但價錢亦比其他燒味略貴。原本打算點的冬瓜盅,因人客太多,所以早早7:00已售罄。其他小炒就比較正常味道一般,不是十分出色,每碟價錢差不多要$100,本人並不推介,我們點的南乳黑豚肉炒蓮藕亦普普通通,其他蝦醬娃娃菜感覺亦太鹹及油膩。另外我見其他客人都比較多一家大細點套餐,套餐包酒水,似係父親節出街食飯首選之一。
