To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 老公對菠蘿包情有獨鍾,元旦日逛完會展Design Gallery後,包迷被港灣茶餐的雜味菠蘿包吸引了,也是很正常的事。 一個菠蘿包外賣價$10,比起街邊檔似乎貴了不少;不過考慮件頭較大,款式多且吸引,還有堂食價約$18的對比,其實$10已算優惠,所以決定買2個做早餐。翌日郭師奶早起大顯身手,沖起香醇3合一奶茶,又煮起巧手公仔麵後,重頭戲是叮熱兩份菠蘿包,然後開餐: 咖央菠蘿包-菠蘿包皮厚又多,可惜是隔夜後變實變稔,連同麵包亦鬆軟不再;中間的餡芯並無咖央椰香味,反而更似菠蘿吉士醬,雖也是香甜清新之作,但卻貨不對辦啊! 麻蓉綠茶菠蘿包-不留意看,或者不會注意到包身輕微的淺綠,所以店方又再曬上芝麻以資識別。同咖央包一樣,菠蘿皮已香脆不再,中間則是較香較甜的麻蓉餡芯,其香濃甜味完全蓋過了綠茶,對嗜甜的我也算討喜。 繼水準平平的除夕私房夜宴,這個早餐小打擊仍未動搖郭太新一年新煮意,不過也學乖了:菠蘿包一定要吃新鮮出爐貨色,以後週末還是落樓嘆茶記罷!
