Finally tried out the insanely popular 坤記煲仔小菜 and it’s no surprise why there’s always a long queue outside! ✨ Here’s what we ordered:🍳 窩蛋牛肉飯 - $103 hkd— Definitely a classic choice to go with, all their claypot rice dishes are made to order, so they’re served to your table sizzling hot! The beef was tender, with a good amount of fattiness to it. The semi-cooked egg went perfectly with the beef and added an undeniable creamy finish to the rice that contrasted nicely with the crispy rice at the bo

— Definitely a classic choice to go with, all their claypot rice dishes are made to order, so they’re served to your table sizzling hot! The beef was tender, with a good amount of fattiness to it. The semi-cooked egg went perfectly with the beef and added an undeniable creamy finish to the rice that contrasted nicely with the crispy rice at the bottom really well.
🐓 臘味滑雞飯 - $110 hkd
— Another option that’s hard to go wrong with! This one definitely has a richer flavour profile to it, mainly coming from the preserved Chinese sausage that has an aromatic meaty flavour and lingering savouriness to it that is further enhanced when cooked. The chicken pieces were also juicy and flavourful, complementing the other flavours nicely.
🦐 蝦仁炒滑蛋 - $105 hkd
— This was SO good! They’ve also incorporated salty egg yolks into this which was what gave it that extra boost of flavour and aroma. The shrimps were fresh, with a bouncy texture to it. Great on its own or enjoyed with a bowl of white rice!
