It was a busy evening. My dad had been here a couple times with his friends and they all had good comments to this restaurant, and my dad brought me there that night. All I felt when I walked into the restaurant, was that it's so crowded and noisy! It's packed, that it's hard to even walk to your seat. The waiting time for each item was quite long too. About 20-30 minutes for each item.My dad pre-ordered the almond pork lung soup, but we still waited for an hour for ours to come. Obviously they
My dad pre-ordered the almond pork lung soup, but we still waited for an hour for ours to come. Obviously they did not save our order for us so we had to wait for the second round. However, it takes time for the pork lung to be cooked, till it's tender. Therefore, as the chef was rush to get the soup done, the second round of the pork lungs we had were too chewy that we couldn't eat.
The prawn on toast on the other hand was fantastic to be honest! Lots of prawns! Deep fried, yet not too oily. It was crispy on the outside, and just lots of prawns inside! Delicious!~~ Oh... one thing though, the toast might be too thin? I couldn't taste it.
Stuffed crab shell was another dish I had high expectations. Umm... it let me down a bit. It looked puff, but it had too much chunks of celeries and onions. Baked cheese on the top was nice; however, it did not match with the traditional Chinese sauce that came with the dish. I can't really remember what the sauce was. It was lea and perrins or Chinese dark vinegar.
Stir fried garoupa chunks with veggies was not impressive either... it was dry and chewy. I did not get a photo of the beef dish we ordered. It was too salty and the mushroom was sour, so we had to cancel that order.
The veggie we had was tasty though. It was one of the best we had that evening. Lol...
Frankly speaking, the service was good. They were humble. They knew themselves about the soup and suggested to give us discount on that, but we kindly refused as the soup itself was great! Maybe they were really too busy, one of the waiter spilt some sauce on my dad's pants when they collected dirty plates from our table. Well... I was told it was a private kitchen. If so, why did they still lose control of the whole situation? Time management was bad. Food quality wasn't consistent. Staff too busy. I really don't know if I would give them a second chance...
