Victoria Restaurant is very popular every time we walk by here on the weekends. We always wondered why. It seemed like a place that served typical Western fare. What was so special about it? For $5 you can add a soup. Boyfriend did and chose a borscht soup. It came in a cute little cup and slice of garlic toast. The soup had a nice tomato taste. The toast was generously smeared with garlic butter.
He also chose the Grilled New Zealand Grain Fed Sirloin Steak with Veggies ($72) in a red wine sauce. When it came out, we were surprised it was so nicely plated. Another surprise was the vegetables. Most places usually provide frozen vegetables that are just steamed with no seasoning and taste like sponge. Here they used zucchini and carrots that were fresh and roasted with a nice bitof seasoning. The steak though well done was still juicy. The sauce was rich.
I had the Baked Sicillian Tomato and Cheese Pork Chop with Pasta ($55). This pasta was not too over cooked. The sauce was sweet with lots of tomato. The pork chop was tender. Loved they added lots of cheese.
No wonder there is always people waiting to dine here. The food was not only delicious but well plated. The service was professional and courteous. Price was not overly expensive. We'll definitely be back.
