My first visit to Cova and what a disappointment. Please do not call yourselves ‘Cova pasticceria’ if at 8pm you have no cakes to offer when you open till 10.30pm. The staff were more bothered about cleaning and seemed ready to end their shift than to offer us a satisfactory service. We were pushed from one person to another when all we wanted was a nice drink and dessert- Apparently cakes were sold out at the restaurant side and that we had to purchase a cake from next door as a take out. We asked if we could purchase some drinks to sit at the table and then buy a cake from Cova to eat. After much pondering between staff the answer was ‘yes’ but I’d have to pay a ‘cake cutting’ charge of $200/Ib 😲. As a consumer I don’t care about your company politics about you being two different departments. Your brand is ‘Cova’ and therefore in my eyes you fall under the same umbrella. Is it surely that difficult to take a cake from your store next door over to the restaurant to have 3 happy customers? Some common sense please!
